Visiting for a day

I (and maybe a friend or two) are planning on taking a day trip up to visit Georgia, just to enjoy the freedom of being able open carry and spend our tourist money in a state that respects our rights more. We'll all have FL CWFL's and research GA specific laws (looks almost the same as Florida, except open carry is legal, carry in churches is not). I just have a few questions -
Do you have a duty-to-inform a LEO if carrying? (Shouldn't really be a problem, OCing...)
Are you obligated to give carry license and ID upon request?

And on the fun side -
Are there any particularly nice places in or around Valdosta to hang out? (I have a 3 hour drive there, so I probably won't get much futher than that)

In Georgia..., Open Carry of a 'Weapon' (Defined as a Handgun or a Knife) is Allowed with a Georgia Weapons Carry License, or its Equivalent form another State wherein there is Reciprocity.

In Georgia..., Open Carry of a Long Gun is Allowed so as long as The Possessor may Legally Possess it under Federal Law and State Law. In This Instance, a License is NOT Required.

Unlike Florida though..., we do NOT Currently Allow Firearms or Weapons to be Carried in Public Buildings, nor do we Allow Carry in School District Buildings.

However like Florida, we also have a Preemption Statute, but ours is not quite as Strong as The Florida Statute is.

Identification Requirements and other Requirements are non-Existent, but You do need to Show a Georgia Weapons Carry License if You are Carrying a Weapon.

Vehicle Carry is Allowed anywhere in a Motor Vehicle You OWN!

Thanks for the help; it sounds good so far. I and anyone with me will have a FL concealed carry license with reciprocity, and carrying holstered handguns only.
As for public buildings, would that include libraries and/or highway reststops? Those are the only places I could imagine going besides restaurants and parks.
Just to make sure I understand what you mean, that if I'm carrying a weapon I need to have my license with me and be willing to show it? (Not actually clipped onto a belt and visible at all times, right?)
And last, if i'm driving my car, it's legal for others to carry in it with their own carry licenses and my permission?

You are not required to show your license. In fact it is the states duty to prove you don't have one. That said, there are a FEW LEO in the state who would demand under threat of arrest to see a license (but there is ignorance everywhere)...I suggest acquiescence and take the issue up later.

Yes...Even without your explicit permission. What was meant was that even if you were not licensed, a non-resident may carry in THEIR OWN vehicle (a resident that is eligible for a license may carry in ANY vehicle.)
