Has anyone any experience in OC at Viking Fest? We're going tomorrow morning and I'm considering OCing. I know there is no "legal" reason why I can't, but I'm not sure if the venue operators have prohibited it.

i got no info for your question, but since its an open street fair, i dont think they could do anything...
unless its a music festival...
my motorcycle had a history of blowing a piston while riding to viking fest,, it did it twice..

I'm not sure what response they'd have to OCing - I doubt anyone would notice anyway. I'll probably be going tomorrow afternoon, but I'm iffy about carrying. If nobody can think of a reason not to by then, maybe I will.

Tacoma PD made me leave the Freedom Fair last 4th of July. The Tacoma Events Commission claimed it was a private affair, and had TPD trespass me. I was escorted out by four officers.

As an aside, who wants to start planning this year's Freedom Fair get together? We'll need some video cameras.

Wish I could, but I'll be in Snoqualmie again. I'm hoping to run into the same off-duty cop that gave me a problem several years ago. Fun!

Well, we spent a few hours at Viking fest, only good comments from various people and lots of inquiring looks. I even wore my kilt which catches the eye. Had one guy inquire about OC who had browsed around here but hadn't decided to OC yet.

Then we went to Wally world and after that the QFC here in Port Orchard. One comment on the kilt but nothing on the sidearm.

Good OC day.:celebrate

I carried my Kahr around for an hour or so - no comments or strange looks. I was a little worried about carrying the huge 1911 and holster, so I decided to take the chicken route. There were lots of police around, harassing random high-schoolers. It saddens me when I see how little the kids know about their rights.

I OC'd at last years Viking Fest.  Not a word was said.  I don't know if carrying my daughter on my shoulders made a difference but it was good fun.
I have noticed it makes a pretty big difference most of the time. Just friday I had TSA at Seatac watch me from different positions at the port. (like they really thought I didn't see them all) Anyway, as soon as two women each with kids came up to hug me, they all dispatched and left. It was suddenly ok when the women and children arrived.

Cool you guys were there. I was in the parade marching for the republican party with my sister Abby Burlingame who is running for county commissioner. I was the one pushing the baby stroller with the signs on it. I wanted to OC but obviously did not.
