VCDL's next meetings in Charlottesville will be at the Rivanna Rifle and Pistol Club.
RRPC has been a gracious host and we appreciate their continued hospitality!

We sincerely hope that you can join us.

Wednesday, August 29

As always, you do not need to be a member of VCDL or RRPC to attend; in fact, we encourage you to bring your
friends and neighbors.
For those of you living in the area who are not members of RRPC this is an excellent opportunity for you to check out a very nice range. RRPC has been a valuable asset to the shooting sports community for many years and is very active in firearms education and safety.

Also, Del. Robert B. Bell of the 5th District will be stopping by to say a few words.

We will begin at 6:30 PM with a pot luck dinner.
Please bring a dish if you are able. If you can't bring something to share, please don't let that stop you from attending. We always have plenty!

For food planning purposes, RSVP to

pat.webb*vcdl.org

and include the number *eating dinner* in the subject line (example: 3/1 VCDL meeting, 2 for dinner).
Meeting will follow the dinner, probably around 7:30 PM, and we should be done by 9:00 PM.

Directions, from I-64 take exit 120 SOUTH (5th Street exit). Turns into Old Lynchburg Road.
Follow for just under 4 miles to range on right, there will be a sign on the right just before the driveway. Go through the entrance gate and up the hill to the clubhouse.

Address:
1570 Old Lynchburg Road
Charlottesville, VA 22903

OC, CC or no carry is okay.. CC requires a valid permit.....

VCDL is a non-profit, non-partisan, grassroots organization dedicated to advancing the fundamental human right of all Virginians to keep and bear arms as guaranteed by the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution and Article I Section 13 of the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Good Job Marco!

I'm trying....
Hopefully Del. Bell can shed some light on the AG opinion I requested regarding voting while armed and a few other issues I have addressed.

Hopefully there's a decent turn out. There's a radio PSA going as well as a few local gunshops have been asked to post info regarding the meeting and folks at the recent Madison county gunshow got info and a personal invite.

Yeah, I haven't talked to him so see what he says. There's more to the story but I'm trying to not feed the flies this week. I'll post something on the hot line when I get a chance.

I would like to hear what he has to say about voting, but I leave for NY that morning for my daughter's wedding.

I am sure it will be discussed at length at the old man's club when I ghet back.

Del. Bell has asked to reshedule as he plans to attend the Anti Rally for the visiting elected offical happening on the same day/time as our meeting.

I was also informed that the AG's office has yet to reply to his request for an opinion regarding carry while voting. Del. Bell's office is still pursuing this matter.

significant delays in traffic.

For those that plan to attend the meeting tonite.

Roads are being closed near the Downtown pavilion for Obma's visit.
They include several blocks of Water St, East Market St and the entire span of the Belmont Bridge.
Around 2:30 p.m., a 6-mile part of Route 29 starting near Airport Rd is expected to be closed while Obama travels downtown.
Obama will make his way back out of the area during rush hour traffic.
It's going to create significant delays in traffic.
Route 29 will be closed only when the president is traveling along it.
