I have driven through WV a few times with hubby on the way to Ohio.

just this weekend we stopped at a dinner/gas station on Rt 50 (about 30 miles east of 77) at around 10pm. As hubby pumped gas I ran in to get some coffee. There we three or four guys at the counter, one a WV game warden (or something like that) in a brown uniform. Everyone nodded and smiled. As i got my coffee the clerk chuckled and said 'ah, she's packing'. No one made any other real remark other then the GW saying playfully 'we're not that bad up here'. We chatted a bit about hunting, guns, and trouble finding ammo. Other then that, no one blinked an eye at me carrying.

great experience. thanks WV. :celebrate

Yes ma'am.

It always puts a smile on my face when I hear of a good open carry experience.
There should be no hate for a responsible person carrying a firearm, and i'm glad all went well as it should.

Thanks for stopping by! Ya'll come back now ya hear?

In the city areas, the libs get nervous a little more easily. For the most part, though, WV is pretty good about it. We love our guns!

Me and the family just went to TN for Thanksgiving. Me, the wife, her parents, and our two kids were all piled in the wife's durango. We were doing some Black Friday shopping and had just left "Smokey Mtn Knife Works". We bought a bunch of knives as gifts and such. As we left, my father-in-law points out the fact that we had 5 hand guns and about 10 knives in the vehicle. I wonder how understanding LEO in TN would be? :D
