I will be there. More? Any? Who? I will be playing team leader. Great looking guy, silver hair fox, with stainless 5906. Hunt me up or take cover when you see me coming.

Spouse, son, and I will be there. Haven't yet made hotel reservations, but we'll be there.

Typically we get to the meeting point right about 0800, and generally half or more of the teams have entered already. But we'll find one.

Will be there, but need transport. Can't walk the hill anymore.
Maybe I'll get lucky and get 1 of the 4 handicap spots......that's ridiculous.

I too shall be there.

Leading a team again. Deeply missing Skidmark and Peter Nap who were always such a presence as I was learning my way about the legislature.

I have been to the GA on MLK day for the last 10 years, although I have not participated specifically with VCDL because of the AR-type open carriers. Last year I donated to VCDL for the Couric lawsuit. Tonight I will either send a check or renew via PayPal.

I’d join in on the groups again, but if I see an unholstered AR/AK type rifle, etcetera then I’m out. It’s embarrassing to be associated with and be seen with them.

With the registration scheme that the antis are calling “universal background checks”, the gutting of preemption and the other thing with the surrendering of firearms even if someone has a bogus/malicious restraining order put on them or some such then I might as well “bury my guns in the ground.” A CHP is worthless by my estimation without preemption.

Reading the brief synopsis on some of the bills makes me feel like a man without a country.

Today the rubber meets the road. Keep in mind this is NOT the end, but the beginning of an arduous journey.

Thanks to all that recognize this and step up to do their part.

Weather was COLD

and the turn out was light. I understand the low turnout particularly women and youth. My estimate was about 400 at the rally. I did get a siting of Marco. Who else turned out for liberty?

Me! Me! I was there!

VCDL was short about 60 people due to bus issues. The bus company had a computer glitch, and when the employee re-entered the reservation, mistakenly entered Jan 18, not Jan 15. Riders from Roanoke/Lynchburg got no bus; some from Fairfax/Fredericksburg got theirs late. Some chose to drive to Richmond anyway, but ....

The cold was another factor, I'm certain. But yes, turnout was very light.

I got the word that the Fairfax bus would be delayed by an hour, so I just fired up the engine and drove down as I have in years past. There were about 4-5 others in the parking lot when I took off; I have no idea if they drove or stayed home. Yes, it was cold, but the wind was not blowing, so it really wasn't too bad.

Last year the bus from Virginia Beach didn't show and we drove and took someone with us as a rider but doesn't sound like we are having very good luck with buses

We did learn not to use this company again. When they screw us two years in a row, it's no longer "a simple mistake".
