Took a hike out on the boulder river trail almost to darrington. Lots of people on the trail, nothing said. There were a couple kids in our group that didn't notice until the end of the hike. They asked why I carried and seemed pretty easy going about there being a gun. Neither sets of parents are gun people, but don't have any problem with me carrying.

Went to the farmers markedown at the Everett marina Sunday afternoon.

They have live music outside on Sundays.

Bought some blue and black berries.

Got some looks from a few people.

Rode my dual sport from lynnwood to Everett.

Went rafting on the pilchuck.

Went to Walmart on 164th and then to Central Market at Mill Creek Town Center, riding my dual sport.

Spent an hour and a half at the Starbucks across from QFC in Edmonds. The girls at the counter definitely glanced, but were very friendly and chatty. I considered making a joke about having eyes, you know, but I figure it's better just to act like there's nothing out of the ordinary, and promote normalization. An elderly couple gave me a hard stare, but didn't say anything. No one else noticed or commented, that I was aware of.

This morning, my wife and I walked around the farmer's market for a while, and then went down to the beach. I concealed again, for her comfort, but I can tell that she's already getting to the point of not really caring. I think just knowing that I've been carrying at all when we're out and about has all but normalized it for her. And that's our goal for society at large, neh?

On our way to Kitsap county...

They wife and I took the day off work yesterday for our anniversary and rode the 2:25 Edmonds to Kingston ferry with our 7 month old in tow. I saw a fellow OC'er wandering about and pointed him out to the wife. He was an older gentleman with a greyish beard. Was that someone from here?

Aside from me noticing someone else with a gun, nobody seemed to care about mine. It was a beautiful and relaxing day.

National night out open carry...

I had a GREAT time open carrying tonight. I had volunteered to help out in my neighborhood and manned the grill. Had a good talk with the fire chief and chief of police and other officers that showed up. Nothing mentioned about me carrying, just like the way it should be, except for a girl at the end of the night who asked me if my gun was real. We had a nice little chat about guns, her dad owns several. Handed out a couple of flyers as well.

Fair day!

Did OC at the fair, the only ones who seemed upset were members representing the Republican Party of Snohomish county.

The guy was a total statist believing that the cops that the RIGHT to harass anyone they want to for Open Carry. He also believed that if you have nothing to hide then you should ID your self to any officer upon request.

He also believed it is bad to question cops who do unlawful stops. Go figure. I got many 'thumbs ups' from various people around the fair grounds. The only trouble I had was when I was trying to buy tickets to get in. They thought that OC was not legal in the Fairgrounds, so they radioed the head of security who told them that they were to not stop, harass, or pester me about my carry.

The Sno Co Sheriffs walking around never even said one word to me.

It was fun but it felt rather lacking compared to previous years.

Sweet! I might go to the fair this weekend and I'll oc. I have a feeling I knew exactly who you ran into at the republican table. I was thinking about volunteering at the booth this year, oc'ing of course...

Yep... I'd bet money on it. He is horribly unsafe with firearms. He showed me his xd once after a meeting. He unholstered it, took out the mag and the one in the chamber. When he was putting it back in the holster he swept me pretty bad with it. I've seen him sweep others as well. I usually won't show people what I'm carrying, no use handling it more than you have to.

ACmariner99 and I went to the fair on Tuesday to see Brantley Gilbert. We had no issues with anyone there and had some great conversations with people. There seemed to be a lot of 2A support at the fair (including from Brantley Gilbert, which was pretty neat) and nobody seemed put off. I know another member on here contacted them last year about their "No Weapons" signs, but I saw no such signage this time.

Conclusion: Monroe = WIN.

Was this the guy? http://houserepublicans.wa.gov/mike-hope/. 44th District rep Mike Hope which took the Anti-Gunner side in the latest legislative session. He's got to go!
