I don't know if this has been discussed before. Silverwood Rv park informed me that guns OC, or CC are prohibited. Here is one of the e-mails I received:

Please know that we do have private security for all of our private property including the RV Park and Silverwood Theme Park.
Firearms are not allowed on our property and that does “… include properly carried firearms by people legally allowed to carry a firearm…”.
I am sorry for any inconvenience that this may cause.

Our security staff are available 24 hours a day for any concerns that you may have. We also partner closely with the local Sherriff’s office.

If you are still not going to be staying with us, might I suggest one of the great local alternatives that are in close proximity and make for an easy trip to the park.
Below you will find a link from our website with partnering local lodging.

I hope that you and your family have a wonderful day in the park.
We look forward to your visit,

Thanks for the email address, I just told them my family, my 5 children's families and my 15 grandchildren will not ever visit their facility again.

More effective would be to also boycott their partners as well and tell those partners that it is because you will not support any business associated with those who do not support your right to self defense.

I own an RV and the wife and I go to campgrounds fairly frequently. I have a hard time finding ones that allow or have no restrictions on carrying. I really don't understand that mindset. RVing involves traveling and I do not travel anywhere unarmed and I believe that I am not the only one. Just because they have security on premisis how on earth am I suppose to provide for my and my familys safety enroute? Good for you on you response to them, not that I think they really care about it. just sayin.

Well, they cared enough to email me back and say "don't do that. we have security for when you are here". I just emailed the gal back and told her it was the principle of it. I've carried (mostly openly) for over 43 years and I take my personal safety,, personally. Then I gave her links to Idaho State constitution Article 1 section 11, the 1902 "in re Brickley" Idaho supreme court ruling, and a link to Heller, and the US 2A. Haven't heard back again.

They cared enough to tell you to drop dead .. literally !

That's sweet.

Do they assign every guest that comes into the park their own security officer to follow them around all day?

I'm sure the theater in Colorado said the same thing or they just depend on the 10-20 minute response time from the local PD.

I was shot at while on a military base during a mass shooting (Fairchild AFB 1994) and we had both a GFZ and our own armed police force. It didn't help too much as a lot of people were killed and wounded before a security forces officer got to the hospital and stopped him. The gunman walked through two building and outside before a bicycle cop arrived on scene.

Point: It doesn't matter if you have a "Gun Free Zone" or "Security". You can have both and they still can't guarentee your safety.
