Your first line is flawed in so many ways. The Brady campaign would only say such a thing like that. I think I speak for many here in this forum and the majority of Texans when I say that America must show we will not stand for this, or else there will be more. Who is afraid of a country that allows things like this to happen and have the media portray the terrorist as nothing but a 'troubled man'. Texan families are filled with tears tonight while terrorist leaders such as the Taliban are rejoicing praising allah, burning american flags and cursing the dead victims and torn American families.
Your second line I am glad the victims or their families of this jihadist never had to hear that.
If you don't like the word 'war', use some other fluffy term for snuffing out terrorists from American soil.
Sorry if my post sounds angry, though today I have been more and more angry at the media for spinning this to be some 'random guy we should pity who got his hands on those terrible guns'. He declared jihad against these Americans, that is a FACT. Just like the muslim radical Taliban declared a jihad against the thousands of Americans on 9/11. Another FACT.
If you don't agree with me that something should be done, then please, at least agree with me that the media owe these victims and Americans the true story of who they were attacked by. If you still don't agree with me, then agree with me at least on this... if this man hijacked a plane and flew it into this military base and killed 12, would the media THEN call it a terrorist attack? OF COURSE THEY WOULD. My next question is.. whats the difference how Americans died at the hand of a jihad? Plane, bomb, gun.. does not matter. It happened.
This was not some man afraid to go face being deployed to war so he killed 12 people. That would be like having an incredible fear of heights so you jump off the grand canyon to kill yourself. Give me a break. This was nothing less than a planned out violent jihad. You don't go selling all your furniture and pass out copies of the Quran to your neighbors before something like this and have people call it an 'incident'. You don't make comments on blogs relating a mulsim jihadist to a person jumping on a grenade to save your fellow man. You don't speak in defense for people who attack Americans on American soil because Americans are attacking the Taliban at their home. Those are also FACTS. It was a terrorist attack. FACT.
Many of you may mistake what I wrote above as hate speech towards muslim families in America. On the contrary, the majority of Muslim Americans are for peace, and see a jihad as nothing more than praising allah. Only Islamic terrorists see a jihad as praising allah with a violent act against Americans such as 9/11 or what happened yesterday. You would also not see such passion in my writings if the media would have owned up to the above already. I would have just shaken my head in sadness and wondered what Obama would do about it.

Your right, how dare we expect the media to give the victims families and Americans the truth when it could possibly mean liberals try to spin this against guns. Please, anything but that. We need to see at least 20, no 30 more jihad mass killings before we accept the truth as Americans of who committed this attack. (I know you don't think this, but point stays)Streetbikerr6 wrote:Sure you want America to declare a war on "this type of terror"? That war could very well mean exterminating anyone that has a gun.I dont give a @#$% what was used to carry out this jihad attack, a plane, a bomb, a gun, a baseball bat. 12 people are dead because of a terrorist attack, and America has suddenly lost it's balls since 9/11 to declare a war on this type of terror.
Despicable
Fighting domestic terrorism perpetrated by religious fanatic military officers of ours doesn't seem to be much of a war.
