Any move entails a lot of technical details and I suspect we will encounter a few issues as the new server goes live. Please be patient with us. It will be worth it! :) Please help by posting all issues here.

A reading that frames the Second Amendment exclusively in terms of guns fetishizes the proverbial cart without paying any attention whatsoever to the horse that pulls it. The gun is anything but the magic wand that popular culture and, unfortunately, far too many gun aficionados, make it out to be.

The gun is only as effective as the person wielding it.

Jack Kerwick earned his doctorate degree in philosophy from Temple University. His areas of specialization are ethics and political philosophy, with a particular interest in classical conservatism.
First, someone needs to take away his thesaurus. Second, fetish? Well, lets expunge all gun forums, oh, and those hand combat forums. And third, turning a fundamental right into an obsession is what "those who can't teach."

Why do people carry a gun? In hopes that their odds of survival in self defense situations pay off, no guarantees.

And "classical conservatism," whatever the hell that is.
