i have been communicating with , the saco ME police and various officers on the topic of OC in the state of maine, basicaly asking questions and informing them of state laws that allow it.

i am glad to say i just recieved a personal e-mail fromsaco Me Police departmentstating they have no problem with OC in the city limits as long as we are responsible with our weapons. A.E. officers are being informed of OC and will not harass :-D

step forward in my town :-D

well they do haha, but they just hired 4 new officers, the deputy chief said if we call its only to let communications know, so that if they get a MWAG call, dispatch and just say "no they are fine" to the caller, and avoid hassles on both ends lol its kind of like a co-op :-D lol but then again calling is just an option, im glad to see them trying to cooperate with OCers though, much better than biddeford PD lol

So what has been your experience so far with OC in Saco? How do the natives react to it? The reason I ask is because sometimes I think Southern Maine never actually seceded from Massachusetts and their big government ways.

I'm glad the police are OK with it, and kudos to you for educating them.

most of them frankly dont care haha i OC every day all day here, im actualy staying in a retirement development to help my elderly mother. and all of her elderly neighbors smile when they see me and wave. she says it makes them feel safer knowing there is a responsible armed man on the property.

I have had 1 or2 people who have made anti-firearms remarks. but i usualy handle it in a respectful mannor, and just tell them its my right, im not out to hurt anyone, but to protect myself and those around me, and they seem to lighten up alot.

overall i've had a great expirence here. people see me OC, and see the PD drive by and not stop at all. Some kind of scrach thier heads and keep on truckin, others assume im a police detective and just smile .........but i've had no "bad" experiences .

the town just south of me though, biddeford. is a totaly different story, im sure the PD there would shoot me for OCing.

Everyone seems to say the same about Biddeford. What is their beef anyway? Did they not get the news that we seceded from Massachusetts? I mean, that was only 189 years ago!

well from what i've personaly been told and i quote Sargant Bulhet. " we dont like it, yeah you can do it but we can also stop you every time and make your life a living hell, odds are we might even just shoot you, so dont"

Biddeford PD lives off the fear that 90% of residents have for them, because they intimidate, strongarm and harass so people will do what they say. OC'ers have never been onces to be intimidated or threatened easily. They know if they stop us we know our stuff better than they do. So they feel threatened by us. plus they believe they can change constitutional law as they fit.

In a nutshell that PD is out of control, i have seen them violate laws more than thepeople who they arrest........its sad

they run the show by the "you may beat the charge, but you wont beat the ride" ideology that makes crooked departments bad.

I do hope you got that on tape. I'd go public with it if you did. Corruption like that should not be tolerated. Might I ask, did you ever speak to the chief of police? Hearing officers of the "peace" making statements like that just makes my blood boil! :cuss:

Biddeford Chief of police is just as bad as the officers, rodger beaupre *Chief* has been the chief in biddeford for well over 30 years.

I have been arrested by that department 13 times since i was 17 years old, i am only 24 now. NEVER have i been convicted of a single thing they arrested me for, actualy the judge's i have gone before have condemed the actions of BPD and called them both "injust" and "wrongful".

Over the past 4 years i have carried a 5GB digital voice recorder in my back pocket by my wallet, they stop me, ask for my id, while im getting my wallet i've hit the record button, i have over 8 hours of cumulative voice recording of thier harassment.

just waiting to be poked with a big enough stick to bring this info forward. i dont want to stop one officers conduct. i want to stop the whole department .

Help me please. You served in the USMC, right? Four years I presume and likely not stationed in your home town. So if you went in when 17 + 4 years in the Corps = 21+ when you got out. Am I right so far? However the dates fall, it would appear to be a 3 year period for the arrests.

So then can we conclude that you were in fact arrested 13 times in 3+ year time frame? Unless the stories are more important in the telling, why don't you do every body up there a favor and file suit?

13 arrests constitutes a big enough collective event for even the most cynical attorney to see big numbers.

yep. that about sums it up. The reason i havnt sued yet is i believe strongly in the saying "if your going to do something, do it right" im not going to have a lawsuit that goes through lawyers and court just to get thrown out. When i do take BPD to court i want it to........do a little more than sting. i want to leave them with an aftertaste that they will not be able to swallow for a very long time. I have lots of evidince against them, from voice recordings, to contradictive police reports from officers on the same subject that prove they are blaitently lieing.

only thing left i want to gather is straight out video of the crimes they commit. i want the Court to fully know the lenghts that these officers go to "uphold the law". and the crimes they commit while doing it. as i said before, i dont want to take down an officer , i intend to take down the whole department. A.E. Regime change in full..........every one of them replaced with newofficers. The department is severely out of control. every PD in the state talks about BPD and pokes fun at them or outright calls them a joke. not because its funny but because its the truth. I intend to change that not just for my own benifit, but for the benifit of everyone that lives in Biddeford......................heck lets put it this way. if you stand at the back door of BPD........you can throw a rock and blow out the front window of your choice of 6 drug houses...........within 10 feet of the department. its been that way for 7 years. problem is............they dont care.

Do you mean they are selling drugs  out of the Ocean Communities Credit Union, Lous Pizza or Twin Cities Cafe? Nah, could not be - they are a lot further away than 10 feet; nevertheless, are the closest in any direction from Biddeford PD unless you count the cars in the parking lot..

You make some serious public allegations about that department. Why don't you sit down and discuss your concerns with Chief Beaupre? I'd like to hear his response to you - now that would truly be interesting.

Don't want to accuse you of exaggeration, distortion and manufacturing of facts or sensationalism for your own purposes, but readers will draw there own conclusions. It is not necessary to resort to puffery to promote the cause or yourself. The simple truth works a lot better.

ooooie! ocean communities is almost 100 ft, louies pizza is 125 and twin citys is a freakin block away..........BEHIND BPD is a place called KING ST! it is a drug slum. 8 people have been stabbed or raped between the buildings there..........you can stand on the corner of it and buy any drug you want within 30 seconds. Dont just look at a map of the town of biddeford and assume you know what is going on there, anyone who lives there will full heartedly agree with what i say about that town.

Not to mention next to louies pizza is one of the most slummeyst and crime ridden bars in the town , the 50's pub where there are numerous countless assaults every single night, women get date raped there. and its INFRONT of the police station.

BPD has let the town get 100% out of control...........i know.........i lived on rayond st *a ghetto in biddeford* for a VERY long time and i've watched the city go straight downhill along with the PD................and Police Chief Rodger Beaupre doesnt give 2 craps, hes been the chief there for like 17 years + and in his rein the town has gone to shambles. its full of violent drug addicted alcoholics and sex offenders..............look for the Maine sex offender registry and type in biddeford............look how many pop up......biddeford is not a LARGE town.........but its filled with em..........

as i said do not look at a map on google of where the PD is and pretend that you know how hard of a place that is to live and how horrible of one it is to raise children.

and for your personal refrerence .............i've been trying to clean up biddeford for a while.........joanne twomey is my aunt............shes the mayor.......

Yah, google street views are a lot of fun - they clearly demonstrate that there is nothing "within 10 feet of the department" - must have been a typo again.

Police Chiefs generally serve at the pleasure of local government, so problem should be very easy to fix - if they want to make changes. If they don't take action, they are part of the problem.

well SACO PD is a great department, i know all the officers, know thie chief he's a really good guy and so are the officers, OC is great in the town of saco. its the neghboring town biddeford where there are ALOT of issues. the officers there make laws as they see fit and enforce them there, 80% of their arrests get thrown out in court. but hopefuly one day biddeford will have the type of LEO's that saco has :)

only problem with saco is it is what is known here as a "helping hand town" meaning saco patrols the edge of biddeford and biddeford patrols the edge of saco, so if your within 1 mile of the town boarder and you OC, odds are a biddeford moron will flag you and take you down at gunpoint..........but that only lasts 2-3 minutes till saco PD shows up and makes biddeford go away lol
