Sniff = Politician, not LEO.

Sniff will say what he needs to get re-elected. That means saying he supports the RKBA (as he should), but also saying he has to follow bad CA law (as he shouldn't). So far the resolution passed by the Riverside County Board of Supervisors to establish "personal protection" as good cause for CCW issuance in Riverside County, Sniff has said "I will continue to follow state law" meaning... You have to pass the "Sniff Test" to get a CCW.

Sir he wasn't elected the first time. He was appointed.

Yup, he won his first election campaign ever to which he was re-elected to the position. Makes perfect sense. What was that about not passing the Sniff test?

The Sniff Test:

[_] Did you donate $10k or more to his re-election?
[_] Are you one of his drinking buddies?
[_] Are you one of his professional or private associates?
[_] Do you have a history of cases against an individual who has attacked and/or raped you whom you also have a restraining order against?

If you did not check any of the boxes, you fail the Sniff test.

Sniff has been saying this for awhile. If you close your eyes, say the magic words, click your heals, and lick their boots I'm pretty sure you'd get one. Here's the thing though...free men don't ask for permission.

I'm not interested in a CCW where anything other than "self defense" is my good cause. I would rather UOC, then LOC later when verified as legal, without having to ask for permission, paying additional taxes, being required to attend their approved training program, and not being able to carry any pistol I want or a modified pistol. UOC is simply much easier and less humiliating.

Oh, Sniff approved 100 CCW apps out of 102 in 2009.

If you guys want to know what his policy is, why not submit a CPRA request for his policy? I think he's required to give out such information from CA PC 12050.2:

Within three months of the effective date of the act
adding this section, each licensing authority shall publish and make
available a written policy summarizing the provisions of
subparagraphs (A) and (B) of paragraph (1) of subdivision (a) of
Section 12050.

I agree, I never got a CCW, just becuse " I don't believe in asking permission for a right. that is already establised
in our Constitution already" BOR.
Also its a "Contract", and thereby coming under their Rules, if a "violation" under their terms happens, then "All " your gun rights come into play. Its a "No win situation". Its about more control, over your rights !

Bad guys CC all the time ! Think about it. Robin47
