The Obama administration intends to force gun control and a complete ban on all weapons for US citizens through the signing of international treaties with foreign nations. By signing international treaties on gun control, the Obama administration can use the US State Department to bypass the normal legislative process in Congress. Once the US Government signs these international treaties, all US citizens will be subject to those gun laws created by foreign governments. These are laws that have been developed and promoted by organizations such as the United Nations and individuals such as George Soros and Michael Bloomberg. The laws are designed and intended to lead to the complete ban and confiscation of all firearms. The Obama administration is attempting to use tactics and methods of gun control that will inflict major damage to our 2nd Amendment before US citizens even understand what has happened.

Obama can appear before the public and tell them that he does not intend to pursue any legislation (in the United States) that will lead to new gun control laws, while cloaked in secrecy, his Secretary of State, Hillary Clintonis committing the US to international treaties and foreign gun control laws. We will wake up one morning and find that the United States has signed a treaty that prohibits firearm and ammunition manufacturers from selling to the public. We will wake up another morning and find that the US has signed a treaty that prohibits any transfer of firearm ownership. And then, we will wake up yet another morning and find that the US has signed a treaty that requires US citizens to deliver any firearm they own to the local government collection and destruction center or face imprisonment. Since many open carriers here don't respect the folks at Calguns you probably don't know, but treaties don't override the US constitution. This "treaty" has been discussed at length there.

I seriously suggest those of you who are capable of separating the characters and issues for/against open carry on Calguns that you check it out. They are helpful and educational.

I don't understand why anyone has any issues with CalGuns. We are all trying to accomplish alot of the same goals. They are informative, and helpful, and have alot of resources. I suggest we keep the peace in order to keep their help. Just my opinion.

Name calling and bashing (of UOC'rs), along with moderator(s) claiming it doesn't happen -- even while other moderators are deleting posts containing derrogatory comments.

Can't claim something doesn't happen and then have another person go and clean up the mess.

Another important note, the Declaration of Independence is not law. Although convincing, it is not enforceable as law. Now, show me where there is a law forbidding the behavior and I will hop on the wagon, but I don't know there is one.

Glad we got a Constitution to protect us from, those who would try to take advantage of us.

Although much of it has been eroded away already in court decisions.

No worries man. . . Sometimes things slip through. . maybe we hadn't heard of it. As I was saying above however, if you were a Calguns member you would have seen it.

Due to the size of OCDO compared to Calguns there is a much larger throughput of information and interaction than there is here.

Not saying bad things about OCDO, but I only come here for open carry related issues, but for current and legal issues I go to Calguns.

Umm, is there anything we can do now, to push the envelope? I don't want to sit around...Can we get some CA laws struck from the books? How can we do that?

I am not too worried about this trumped up propaganda and paranoia.

Should we be concerned about our government trying to restrict our second amendmant rights? Sure, but it should be approached with measured reason and not inflated hysteria.

If the Democrats want to sign their own political death sentence, they can go ahead and make a bold and open move against gun owners. I don't think they are very smart on average but I also don't think they are nearly that stupid either.

Gun owners are probably the last group that government wants to go head to head with right now.It would turn the country upsidedown into turmoil it hasn't seen since the Civil War. I don't even expect the rank and file police officers would heed that bidding either. At least not in the rural areas.

I also think that half of the government, thepolice and themilitary for the most part, would choose to side with the American people if the government tried to make such a bold yet idiotic move.

This, like all chain e-mails, has nothing to do with the actual topic of the e-mail. The sole purpose is to collect e-mail addresses for marketing purposes.

Ever get an email where you have to scroll down pages of "forward headers" showing scores of addresses the e-mail has been sent to in the past? Many e-mail programs even include the name of the recipient next to the address.

This information eventually may be collected and added to databases for mass mailings.

So, if you're tired of getting unsolicited "spam" e-mails offering everything from prescription medications to pornography... now you know how they get your e-mail address.

So, any time ANY chain e-mail is sent to you, kindly respond to the sender informing them that they just put your address on a spammer's marketing list.

And if you MUST forward a message, be sure to delete all the addresses included in the header, send the message to yourself, and then use the "BCC" field for the person/people you want to send it to. (BCC stands for Blind Carbon Copy, which means nobody receiving the e-mail will be able to see any of those addresses.)

Education of the masses is the only way we'll be able to defeat the spammers.
