Who is hosting it? Links?

On a possibly related note,
Baton Rouge PD informed it's officers last week via their internal email system of something which may be related to this Capital rally.
The email I was shown by a Baton Rouge police officer told the department that someone had filed for a permit to hold a rally and march in Baton Rouge on July 4, 2013. The person filing for the permit filed it on behalf of an organization which was listed on the application as Open Carry Louisiana. The application for the permit was reviewed and, according to the email I saw, was rejected by the City/Parish of East Baton Rouge.
The email then went on to inform officers that Open Carry was legal in Louisiana and to be aware that some Open Carriers may try to provoke LEOs into confrontations. Officers were told to remain professional at all times and to follow department guidelines when dealing with any confrontations. Several cites were given to various laws and the email pointed out that the cites were obtained from the Louisiana Open Carry Awareness League.

Just to be clear....
An application was filed with the City/Parish of East Baton Rouge Parish for a March and Rally in support of the right to Open Carry by a group calling itself Open Carry Louisiana. The application for the permit was denied. Louisiana Open Carry Awareness League is registered with the State of Louisiana as a Non-Profit and is not affiliated with any other organization. We are not aware of any group calling itself Open Carry Louisiana and we are not associated with this group in any way. LOCAL has no plans to formally participate in any armed marches or rallies at this time.

I know for a fact the current regime of BRPD is aware of the legalities of OC.

I do too. The main question is, who is behind this rally and were the proper permits approved? Why are we not seeing this announced in some of the usual places such as the Defend Louisiana or La Shooting Association websites or social media sites? Also, who is this new actor in our fair city filing for permits for marches and rallies under the name Open Carry Louisiana?
