Casey, the site owner, had stated it's time to Eat our Own because the Open Carriers ruined Starbucks (to be fair, seemed mainly targeting the long gun carriers).

Lots of CC or don't carry at all, state laws be damned, attitudes from the commentators.

Of course Casey is law enforcement - shocker.

As another member pointed out, a company with the word tactical in their name isn't to be taken seriously.

I wonder if anyone from here will take them up on the offer to have an OC vs CC debate. Seems like potentially a decent way to shoot down some of the BS out there about OC.

I think he was spot on. You carry a rifle down the street you don't think anyones going to notice it? Theres a big hey look at me thing going on. People can accept if taught to accept but you cant shove things in peoples faces and expect them to accept. We have more of an obligation to present ourselves in a positive light because people do see we carry. The selfie pics at starbucks and gun handling with rifles is just wrong. My gun is not a fashion statement to show off its there for protection.

Unfortunate, are you sure the pics weren't taken in TX, where they can only OC a rifle. Many here face that same argument with our pistols being shoved in people's faces. Glass houses . . .

Ok you got a point on glass houses but If all you can carry is a long gun then you should stay on the sidewalk and not disrupt someone's business which is not public property. Now I'm sure there's still going to be a few trying to prove a point and still do the same thing over but the next level is getting a full policy of no carry posted. Lets not get there. Plus with todays gun weather the AR and rifles are getting a bad reputation due to all the recent shootings. Just because we can, do we need to shove it in peoples faces? Its hard enough to gain a foothold just carrying a sidearm OC. Baby steps lol.

That photo of the dude with the shotgun in Starbucks is a photo of a mercenary in Kuwait. People love to tote the photo around as an example of crazy OC people, truth is he was basically a soldier on duty. It had nothing to do with OC in Starbucks.
