(More specifically, you never had a right to have anything in your pockets at all while on my property in the first place, as your right to bring stuff is curtailed sharply at my property line. Rights, properly understood, do not overlap.)

Rights, properly understood, do not overlap.

You both seem to be saying that I have no rights at all while standing on your property. This is absolute nonsense, of course. Property rights do overlap, in that there are different types of property and some of it is not fixed in place.

You have whatever rights would not interfere with my doing as I see fit with my property.

You certainly have a right to life on my property, so long as you leave when asked. Your rights to any property which isn't on my property are unaffected, of course. Your right to associate, to enter into contracts – off my property – are all unaffected. Etc etc etc. People can't suddenly violate those rights behind your back because you're on my property.

That's what rights are.

However, rights do not overlap. Anything you might do on my property against my wishes is ipso facto never a right to begin with.

It's quite simple once you get over yourself.

Difdi Rights and law are to be negative, what you are proposing is positive and this is a major problem because it leads to government saying I must ........fill in the blanks.....to accomodate......fill in the blanks on my property and is a travesty to property rights.
