We need to flood the Dem's primary on March 3 - any registered voter can vote in either primary (but not both). We should do everything we can to make sure the most unelectable candidate wins their nomination. I'm thinking Sanders, because I don't think he's got a snowball's chance of beating Trump.

Are you saying that all republicans and independents should register as dumocrats and vote for Sanders?

There's no such thing as party registration in Virginia. If you're registered to vote, you can vote in whatever primary you feel like voting in. You can do Dem one year, and Repub, alternating as you like - if anyone were to challenge you on whether you're entitled to vote in a Dem primary, just tell'em you're registered to vote in Virginia and that's all the credentials you need.

By the way, Sanders was my top of the head suggestion, based on my perception that this country will never elect a socialist (they all call themselves "democratic", by the way, e.g., the People's Democratic Republic of China, etc.). Also, he's actually got a chance of getting the Demo nomination. If we support someone who doesn't have a chance of getting the nomination, we've wasted our efforts. I'd be happy to go with whatever name those more skilled in the art of political analysis might suggest, but I think we have to pick someone and orchestrate a statewide campaign really quickly.

It's one thing to sit around and bitch and moan about what's going on, but I think we need to go on the offensive and use effective tactics to achieve our own agenda. We sat around and ignored the fact that the foreign invasion from the South wasn't "war", and there are still subversives trying to obscure that fact (an unarmed invasion is still an invasion). I've been warning folks for years that we are under attack and that attack amounts to a war, on us and on our Constitution. A failure to respond as though there were no war, merely a political controversy, will guarantee failure. I see our present situation as a last chance to restore freedom that has been intentionally and maliciously degraded since the early 1900's.

Example: Bloomberg has organized his own political party ("Moms Demand Action"), exactly the same way Hitler did ("Hitler Youth") and Mao Tse-Tung did ("Red Guards"). He can turn out "moms" all over the U.S. to do canvassing, man the polls, ring doorbells, and register voters on a moment's notice. They're probably already doing it. And why are those folks so eager to press for gun control? No, Chris Plante, they're not stupid, and they're not crazy; they know perfectly well what the consequences will be and they INTEND to turn Richmond, Roanoke, Hampton Rds. and Northern Va. into clones of Chicago, Los Angeles, Baltimore, New York and Prince George's Co. More violent crime means more fear, and more fear means an opportunity to create a police state. Dachau, anyone?
