You may have seen the post about the writer in London doing an article on OC focusing on woman specifically. She has asked that I send her photos of myself carrying. Since other people are in some of these pictures I wanted to make sure it was ok with them first. I know "once its on the internet its fair game" etc. but out of respect...

I believe Glock27Bill, Nova, Lima, JD, possible Pro2A are featured. If you can pass it on to anyone there i didnt know I would appreciate it as well.

I would like to get a thumbs within the next 24 hours so i can send them on since her deadline has apparently been set and she has requested the photos ASAP.

I mentioned in the other topic that I think this is a good opportunity for all of us, but I won't force you to be pictured in a London magazine if you are against it so please tell me if it makes you uncomfortable.

THANKS!

i dont know how to add two photos at once so there will be a follow up post

I hate to seem nit-picky, but I would really suggest you forget the first one. It's blurry, and half the people have their eyes closed. Even if it gets past her editors, it doesn't exactly paint OC in a very good light.

Sorry... poo-poo on me... :(

I have to go along with TFred...even though certain VCDL EM's don't think I know Jack about photography:X
I try to put both the person and the image of gun owners in their best light.

The second one is pretty good. Nice family type people, all expecting the picture and it's pretty sharp and clear.

BTW, it's considered bad manners to edit someone else s photographs and if you don't care for them, please accept my apology and I'll delete them.

That reminds me of a cute picture I took of my daughter and her best friend. We gave it (emailed) to the girls mother and one day saw it on her desk at work... with my daughter cropped out! I understand you want a picture of your own daughter on your desk but use another one. :)

There are other pics out there of OC dinners.
This thread is from one of our local dinners. http://opencarry.mywowbb.com/forum54/36866-5.html

If the article is about women carrying, shouldn't you have pics of just yourself or of other female carriers?

Just askin'...

BTW, to GlockBill, my grandmother was a War Bride from London. She was a BWAC.

Not meaning to be critical, but is there any way to edit the photos so the poor guy on the right doesn't appear to be shooting the bird to the London magazine?

I can do it Tess but Nova already said he didn't want to be in it. I can remove him also but the picture will still be out of focus. I can help that but not cure it.

I would need an original copy. JPEGs are self destructive. Every time you edit a JPEG, it loses quality and that one doesn't have a lot to work with.

Hey Peter, I see the Big Z is licensed.

How does he feel about being in the "system" and having to pay a fee to exist?:D
He doesn't care for it but after I explained that Dog Catchers weren't really human (The worst kind of cop) and that dissident puppies were often sent to the "Showers with no water", he agreed to wear one.

Zeus is a little harder to raise than my other son. I told him that if he were ever approached by a police officer, keep his mouth shut and call me. That actually happened once. A Henrico Investigator wanted to talk to him about someone he knew. I never figured out why.

He called me and I went to where they were and took him home. The cop had the nerve to come by the house wanting to interview him. I gave him an interview he's probably still telling PD station stories about.:X

Zeus doesn't have a cell phone though.

Raising kids your own way is tough. When my daughter graduated from high school, an Army recruiter started calling. I started watching caller ID and when he'd call I'd tell him not to call any more.

He kept calling and it got more heated each time. Finally, I looked him up, got his home address and waited for the next call. He did call and I told him where he lived and I'd be over to see him the next time I saw his number come up.

He never called again. Years later my son was introduced to him. He said is your father &&&&&. He said yes. The Recruiter told him he was under orders to make so many contacts but that was the only time he didn't follow orders because he knew I meant it.
