Video of unprepared and overwhelmed...video released 28 dec18...http://projects.sun-sentinel.com/2018/sfl-parkland-school-shooting-critical-moments/#nt=oft03a-1gp2
Quote:
Failures by the Broward County Sheriff’s Office and school district cost children their lives at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High...

To be sure, a number of teachers and police officers performed heroically. But an examination of the day’s events reveals that the Sheriff’s Office and school district were unprepared for the crisis. [Personal observation BS COMMENTARY!] unquote.

Well worth either a 58 min break, or skim’g of video and accompanying article...

Happy new year everyone!

Added...OMGoodness just unbelievably great presentation and please be sure to listen to police snippets in the presentation...

Spoiler alert...assistant principal failed to tell LEs watching the video on school cams wasn’t real time but delayed 20 min. Spoiler alert!

Thanks for this link. (And Happy new year likeness.)

South Florida is an incredibly corrupt place. The mentality is something like this:

1. Hire a person for a job (big or small) because they are a friend or know someone important.

2. Rationalize why they are such a great guy/gal for the job even if they did not meet the official hiring qualifications.

3. Cover up and (again) rationalize every time they screw up, diverting other resources to try to clean up the messes they make.

4. Only worry about appearances or going through the motions, not the real thing.

5. Never, ever learn.

(Notice the Sun itself has been covering for the Sheriff forever, until it is no longer a viable position. Then they admit he needs to go and pretend to get in front of that effort - but probably will want another one of the exact same mold to replace him.)

6. Blame law abiding citizens for the failure of the government. Hold a town hall to rake those citizens over the coals for a crime they had nothing to do with.

12 highly trained officers to frightened and too interested in playing soldier to go face 1 untrained child for 11 full minutes of slaughter and the shooting stopped.

Allow staff and teachers to be armed as the 2A guarantees and these events get stopped when they start by folks right there, inside, with a vested interest in surviving.

Unlike LE showing up, dressing up, planning up, and having a vested interest in remaining outside where its nice and safe.

Even with that report out there is still the group of people that will accept nothing less than banning firearms for the law abiding citizen. Pointing out all the failures of the authorities and school personnel will no more convince the March for our lives gang that their common sense gun laws they want will do nothing to stop the Cruz's of the world or their communities. Their common sense contains absolutely no common sense but we here all know that.

Its been a very long time since I have visited the site. I like the new look. Good work guys.
