I am a retired U.S. Air Force officer. In the year 2000, I attended Level II Anti-terrorism/Force Protection training. This training qualified me to teach annual anti-terrorism and force protection training to any military unit or civilian DoD employee.

Based on the information at hand in 2000, I predicted 9/11. Not the details. Just the general event.

Based on the information currently at hand right now, any governor that supports the influx of Syrian refugees is either incredibly stupid, stupendously naive, or fantastically idealistic. In any case, they are severely misguided/inept and are putting their citizenry in GRAVE danger. If you believe otherwise, it's because you lack the knowledge, training, and hands-on experience I've gained while serving on active duty in our Armed Forces.

My 52 years of service in 33 countries around the world has made it absolutely clear that It is impossible, Governor Hickenlooper, to appease those who are trying to kill you. No matter how many times they tell you otherwise, their own founding documents, including the Qu'ran and the Hadith, have made their agenda abundantly clear.

France announced today that it has identified more than 40,000 Islamic radicals within its borders. Given the fact that objective assessments identify 37% of all Muslims resoundingly supported the 9/11 attacks, it's absolutely certain that a very large proportion of the Syrian refugees are already Islamic radicals.

This is WHY more than half of all U.S. Governors have said, "NO REFUGEES" in official statements to our federal government. As a retired federal (military) employee, I back their decisions 100%, and very strongly implore you to do the same. These governors are being smart, prudent, rational, and sane. Your current position of allowing refugees makes absolutely zero sense, and We the American People are not asking you to change it. We are, respectfully, demanding it. This is our state. We are the ones who have to live with the consequences of such horrible decisions, and quite frankly, Governor Hickenlooper, in light of the rapidly rising rash of heinous Islamic attacks against peaceful humans, We the People of Colorado would much rather you do the right thing than invite loads of the worst that ails Europe within our borders.

States whose governors oppose Syrian refugees coming in:

-- Alabama
-- Arizona
-- Arkansas
-- Florida
-- Georgia
-- Idaho
-- Illinois
-- Indiana
-- Iowa
-- Kansas
-- Louisiana
-- Maine
-- Massachusetts
-- Michigan
-- Mississippi
-- Nebraska
-- Nevada
-- New Hampshire
-- New Jersey
-- New Mexico
-- North Carolina
-- Ohio
-- Oklahoma
-- South Carolina
-- Tennessee
-- Texas
-- Wisconsin

By comparison, only 7 state governors have said they will accept refugees.

Not very bright, particularly when 1,400 years of consequences have proven such decisions to be as mindbogglingly stupid today as they were when the Islamic Moors invaded the Iberian peninsula in 700 AD.

Governor Hickenlooper: For the love of God, not to mention the safety of the American people, please change your position!

Thank you for your time.

All Rs and one D on the list...

Political grandstanding, a "look what I did" when the next election cycle comes around. Meaningless gesture...if you think about it

That's most likely the case given that refugee relocation is 100% federal controlled and operated. However, the states could pull the purse strings route and simply refuse to add any funding or local resources to help. That said, Hickenlooper is a lapdog rubber stamp yes man for Obama. No chance in heck he signs on to this.

I have to agree that its just political grand standing on their part. I saw not too long ago today Obama on TV saying something like ..whats the big deal, they are just widows and orphans. I think that the DC area should get every single one of these "widows and orphans". All that has been asked is to suspend the program long enough to vet these fine people properly..... although its impossible to do so as there are no data bases that exist with these people in them. I really want to know how many of these fine people Saudi Arabia are taking. Egypt? Somalia?? any other good Muslim country?? Noooooo, they want to come to Europe and Canada and the USA. I wonder why?

Open Letter or Meaningless Gesture

Howdy!
Regardless of good intentions, this post was a meaningless gesture.
First, because Hickenlooper won't ever see it. If anybody does, it'll be an aide who will ensure he won't see it.
Second, even if he does see it, he could care less. Of some 5 million people in our state, one guy who doesn't like his position won't mean anything to him.
Third, even if he cared about what you said, he don't know you and could care less who you are.
Fourth, he is term limited so what can you actually do about it? Not vote for him? He ain't gonna be running again.
Fifth, this is a man who refused to execute a lawful death warrant on Nathan Dunlap, like he was somebody precious we need to keep around.
Sixth, Hickenlooper will sleaze his way between the sheets tonight and sleep like a baby, not caring crap about this post.

There isn't a bloody thing you can do about his decision, except gripe about it. Meanwhile, wait till you meet your new neighborgs. Don't be too surprised when they show up at your location trying to shove Sharia law down your infidel throat!

Watch the videos of the genocide of Whites in Europe. Does Hickey care?
Read the information about mass rapes on New Years Eve in Europe, not reported by American news outlets. Why?
Europe is being overrun, and white citizens are being assaulted and beaten brutally in their own streets.
War has come upon them, and it will easily be won because their citizens are unarmed.
We are now watching the end of Europe as we know it.
Do you think Hick ignorant of these things?
Seven year old kids raped on German playgrounds and nothing to stop them! Momma too busy being gang raped to spare her child the same horror?
Does Hick care? NO!!! HE FREAKING DONT!

The cross if Christ will be replaced by the crescent of Islam in Europe. They are now becoming the majority population in Sweden, Germany, England and France.
Already the night is far spent, and the war rages while America slumbers in ignorance, even as legions of those people stream across our southern border.

An open letter to Hickenlooper is about as useful as a hoola-hoop to Stephen Hawking!

We had better wake up quick, or prepare to be taken by the Islamiborg collective!

Then again....
It may already be too late to stop it.
At least in America, we can still put a rifle behind every blade if grass!

Based on your post you must be around 85 years old. And in that time I would think you would have learned that our elected officials are not superior to the citizenry. Your statement "their citizenry" indicates the governor owns the citizens. This is the problem, the governor is our servant. If you said "their fellow citizenry" then that would at least indicate the governor is on an equal footing with the citizenry. This superiority attitude by elected servants is our problem because we let them get away with it. Lets stop feeding their ego.

Hello, M-Taliesin. :)

Actually, I received a response this morning, directly from the Governor's office. It appears canned, but given the depth and breadth of his response, including key issues I addressed in my letter and to which he specifically responded, I'm certain he most certainly did see either my complaint or a dozen just like it.

Here is Governor Hickenlooper's response:

Dear *******,

Thank you for writing our Office on the subject of refugees. We share a commitment to keeping Colorado safe. Tragic terrorist attacks abroad (in Paris and Mali) underscore the need for the most robust, thorough, and lengthy vetting process possible for refugees and others entering the U.S. We are certainly open to making improvements in these procedures in collaboration with the federal government. That said, no state governor has authority, under federal law or the U.S. Constitution, to prevent lawful refugee families from entering the U.S.

Current vetting protocols for the refugee program are multilayered and take up to two years of reviews by many federal agencies in addition to up to two years of reviews by the United Nations High Commissioner on Refugees (UNHCR). These processes include repeated background checks, interviews, claim verifications, alias reviews, DNA checks, iris scans, fingerprinting by multiple agencies (FBI Screening Center, National Counterterrorism Center, and Departments of Homeland Security, Defense, and State) and the UNHCR. This all occurs before a refugee touches U.S. soil.

At present, according to the Department of State, the process has resulted in roughly 50 percent of all applicants referred by UNHCR clearing the screening process. The process prioritizes the most vulnerable - torture survivors, women and children, and those with debilitating medical conditions. In fact, the vast majority of refugees fleeing terrorism and oppression in Syria are the elderly, women, and children.

While some have called the vetting process into question, there exists no credible data, report, or evidence demonstrating that lawfully vetted refugees by the U.S. present a credible terrorist threat. Frankly, according to law enforcement authorities, we face a far greater risk from other means of entry, including those with legitimate foreign passports. Congress should further scrutinize these systems and apply the lessons we have learned from a largely effective refugee entry program.

There is a very important national security rationale for allowing fully vetted refugees to come to the U.S. Demonstrating American values to Syrian refugees victimized by ISIS and the Assad regime is not only compassionate, but is in our national security interests. A successful war against terrorists means denying our enemies the propaganda recruiting tool they want - that the American people are contemptuous of people of the Muslim faith.

Of course, no government process is beyond improvement. Federal screening procedures are constantly evaluated, modified, and improved to deploy the best intelligence and latest security practices. We welcome such improvements and support any additional checks necessary to make federal vetting more rigorous. This process must be done correctly. In this regard, we should continue to look to national security experts for the best advice on potential improvements.

Finally, the number of Syrian refugees likely to be resettled in Colorado is very small, and we anticipate no more than a few dozen from the current process. Demonizing these already traumatized people is not in keeping with Colorado values. Halting their journey, which began years ago, for political purposes would be a shame.

Protecting Coloradans is and will always be our top priority. Ensuring a safe Colorado while also honoring our American values can be achieved without sacrificing one for the other.

Sincerely,

Governor’s Office of Correspondence

Meanwhile, wait till you meet your new neighborgs. Don't be too surprised when they show up at your location trying to shove Sharia law down your infidel throat!

No such neighbors, yet. If they do, I'm likely to say, "That's nice," pat my firearm and walk away.

Watch the videos of the genocide of Whites in Europe. Does Hickey care?

Does Hick care? NO!!! HE FREAKING DONT!

I am well aware that Governor Hickenlooper is aware of these things. He indicated in his letter, however, that he firmly believes we have a robust process for vetting the refugees. What he fails to address is the fact that at least 37% of all Muslim around the world -- including women and children -- firmly believe in jihad and supporting (if not participating in) the types of activities we all know and hate as "terrorism."

Thus, I believe the guv is either ignorant, delusional, or in on some plan to usher in Islam throughout America at the expense of America.

The cross if Christ will be replaced by the crescent of Islam in Europe. They are now becoming the majority population in Sweden, Germany, England and France.
Already the night is far spent, and the war rages while America slumbers in ignorance, even as legions of those people stream across our southern border.

I read many stories and see the videos about how Europeans have had enough and are pushing back, even to the point of calling for Merkel's head on a platter.

An open letter to Hickenlooper is about as useful as a hoola-hoop to Stephen Hawking!

Oh, I don't know. He did respond, didn't he? At the very least we have a good deal more insight as to his thinking. A basis for comparison, you might say. Call it a baseline.

We had better wake up quick, or prepare to be taken by the Islamiborg collective!

Undoubtedly, and I like your Borg reference. In fact, I find it highly interesting that the writers of Star Trek: The Next Generation chose a cube to represent the Borg Collective, particularly given the fact that the cube, or "Kabba" at Islamic ground zero in Mecca is... in fact... a cube!

I am 52. I am not brain-addled, yet, but I did errantly post my age instead of my time in service (20+ years). :)

And in that time I would think you would have learned that our elected officials are not superior to the citizenry. Your statement "their citizenry" indicates the governor owns the citizens. I wholeheartedly agree. Along with many other Coloradans, I campaigned to replace one of the worst of our two senators, and good riddance. Now it's time to go after the other, along with Hickenlooper, who's election records leave grave doubts in my mind as to their authenticity.
