My fiance and I, are currently interested in traveling to Kansas City, Missouri. I would like to learn more about your firearms law, such as to open carry within public and capitol buildings, as well as parks and recreation places too. I have started to read more into 571.107, seems a bit confusing on legality of carry a firearm openly within those listed. It seems you can only carry conceal with a valid permit, is this true? Also, can these listing places trespass someone for carry when conducting business?

I acknowledge that I must posses a valid permit to open carry in certain cities that have a current ban, Title 3 - 21.750>

Thank you for your time.

RSMo 571.030 provides guidance. http://revisor.mo.gov/main/OneSection.aspx?section=571.030&bid=33874&hl=

I have not heard of any public building that does not prohibit the carry of firearms. Others can add exceptions if they exist.

RSMo 571.107 essentially states that a permit is not a defense to trespassing if entering any of the listed places. If asked to leave due to your firearm, leave without comment.
