Home Depot on Charleston ....snipped....., "I have NO problem with people carrying and I think that if more people did we'd have a whole lot less $**t happening in the world, including employees freaking out. You have the right and I support that. More power to you sir and again, I'm sorry for all the attention."

Man, that was really nice!

Nice encounter - proof positive that we are winning

Re: Where did you carry today and how did it go?

Home Depot on Charleston about 1PM Tuesday. !

I remember when you was a wee little one. What was that, a month ago? See, it gets better. Feels awesome, doesn't it.

Which home depot? I know of 3 on Charleston. I want to make sure I go by there today. I need CAT5 jacks anyway.

Summerlin. I try to post the area in my subject line.

Yea, I think a month or two ago. That's what I meant in an earlier post on who'd have thought it would be so easy to open carry. At first I was nervous about being noticed carrying. Now, I try to make it VERY obvious. It's no wonder we have the freedoms we do. They feel so good!

I just got back from doing some shopping. I open carried for the first time.
I went to Best Buy, Walmart, and Taco Bell.

One of the guys working at Best Buy stopped me and asked what I was carrying. Had a nice little conversation with him about handguns. I paid for my stuff, went outside and was waiting for the rest of my family to come out. An older asian guy was getting into the car next to ours, and asked if my pistol was real. I told him it was, and he asked if I was a cop. I simply said no, I'm just a law abiding citizen.

Went in Walmart, nobody noticed as far as I know.

Went in Taco Bell, nobody noticed as far as I know.

This was at the mall off of the 215 in Spring Valley.

Went to Black Rifle Armory today in Henderson to try to get them to put a Blue Card petition on their counter. 3 employees signed it but would not let me leave it there. Says he does not get involved in political things. I was OC while there and nothing was said by anyone.

Went to Spurlocks and no problem as usual OC. They did put the petition on their counter.

Went to USA Mattress on Stephanie at American Pacific in Henderson, no problem OC. In fact, he signed the petition and I left one with him to see if he can get some signatures. You need a mattress, see Al.

Have a petition also at the pro fishing store on Industrial Parkway off Lake Mead in Henderson. OC with no problem. Mike the owner put a petition on his counter too. If you fish, it is a nice shop and the owner is a great guy.

Otherwise hit several grocery stores today and as usual not even a sideways glance did I notice.

Hit up Firehouse Subs downtown and was asked "the question" a couple times but nothing happened. Got a couple random looks but no gripes or complaints.

And I dont get involved in buying from them any longer.

On the other and I am in need of new bedding so I will see AL, and my wife has wanted to start fishing so I think we will go to the fish place as well next week.

Harbor Freight and Red Robin, on Kietzke in Reno. No issues.

Rollbar said he was going to the Cantaloupe Festival in Fallon. Waiting to hear how it went.

Went well. My kids/I OCed and when we walked in past security (bright green wearinf shirt guys) they just loooooooooked. Walked around the whole place and people just looked w/that look of ok, we understand who to hide behind but a few did some double takes. After the concert we got up and walked out and people loooooooked again (new crowd). We had on bright shirts and the gun w/the right background stood out.

Awesome night and no problems.

Might go to the Grand Sierra next Friday night to a concert and OC there, we will see.

Where did you carry today and how did it go?

Went to Walmart on sunset and marks.. No problems from employees, but some old guy in a electric scooter scolded me and assumed I was OC cause I could not get a ccw... He also told me I was going to get shot first... Really kind of annoyed me... I need to start carrying a trifold for times like this...

Then this morning we went to ihop for breakfast on boulder why and horizon... We were greeted by the manager when we walked in and had no issues up to this point..

I was a bit nervous for ihop as this was my first time in a restaurant... But it's been very uneventful.. I would however strongly suggest the nutella crepes :)

Trifolds will do no good with people like that. Just a bad attitude, nosy and arrogant person.

How do they presume to know who is going to get "shot first", anyway? :p

Been to that IHOP many a times, never a problem.

Just tell the old guy on the scoot he should be thankful. While they are busy shooting you, he can make his escape.

Eldorado Canyon on the weekend - lots of folks out that way. One teenage girl may have made a comment but I can't say for sure.
Sinclair gas station on Russell...some other gas station on W. Horizon Ridge...
Walmart on Marks
Lowes on Marks...several employees greeted and tried to help us out. They didn't seem phased by the firearm and I have always received good customer service there so I can't say the extra helpful attitude was necessarily because of the firearm.
Stephanie Lynn Craig Park in Henderson...
Strolling down E. Russell Road with the wife and pup...

Nothing eventful...just where I was this weekend. A few second glances noticed...that's about it.

I wonder how fast his scooter could go.....I laughed at the visual of him leaning forward going 2 mph trying to get away from a bg as the OCer is defending him/her self. Bullets from the BG bouncing off his scooter....lol
