The biggest challenge for new shooters is getting started. First Shots makes getting started in shooting very easy -- and, best of all, it's free.

At a First Shots seminar, you'll receive:

An educational introduction to the safe and recreational use of firearms
A clear understanding of the local requirements for owning and purchasing a firearm
Individual and group training
A rundown of shooting sports opportunities for all levels of interest
A chance to give shooting a try!

** The First Shots event will not satisfy any requirements for the Wisconsin CCW license. The instructors are qualified to teach that course and can provivide you with more information on the entire process if you ask.

Update

No Slots available in Sun Prairie -

Thank you for your interest in First Shots.

Unfortunately, all of the sessions for the Chicago area are full. There are still slots available at McMiller Shooting Center in Eagle, Wisconsin, which is just outside of Milwaukee or Columbus Sportsman’s Association outside of Madison.

If you wish to register for McMiller or Columbus, please do so using the regular online registration process.

WCI training makes sense for those of us familiar with handguns and may just need to satisfy the training requirement for CCW permits. I put this out there for those family and freinds of our who may have never fired a handgun in their life. Here's an opportunity to take a buddy/wife/relative to the range at no cost to either... it is however, more like an introduction course.

plus the firearms and ammo are provided in the free course :)
