I believe they are trying to say that public property/local gov't property= private property. However that is pretty moot..... considering they are a subdivision of the sate. The guy who said that obviously has no clue what he is talking about. And as a subdivision (sorry can't think of the right word) they are subject to the state cosntitution and state laws.

This reads like a separate issue and an application of trespass law.
On another note, if someone with a gun enters one of these facilities and is asked to leave but doesn't and immediately open fires on the inhabitants of the facility, how many will die before the police arrive and stand outside until all of the shooting stops? It is a proven fact that they will not go in before then. Look at Columbine and VTech. So then wouldn't it make sense to allow fire arms so some one with the balls to use one could stop an individual who is hell bent on killing innocent people?
