I call BS! Criminals don't OC.

You are misreading it. He's not saying he's grabbed other people and found out they were on Probation or parole. What he's saying is that he has grabbed other people who are openly carrying and found out that they are often commissioned officers such as Probation Officers who are in plain clothes and did not have their badge clipped to their belt. So he has grabbed Probation/Parole Officers who didn't have badges displayed but didn't get laid out by one of those officers who had just finished a pistol retention or force on force class earlier in the day. I'd love to see that outcome. Imagine this...Bowser sneeks up behind someone who just left the 8 hour mandatory refresher class for pistol retention and suddenly grabs them. Bowser laid out and Probation Agent standing there with an Oh Frack look on his face.

The way Officer numb nutts talks - it is easy for any rational person to misunderstand him. ;)
Since he knew he was being recorded, his weak attempt at giving the impression of being a "fair guy" was to fabricate the "I assault other officers of the law too for legally OCing here" story. Sad little man...he is...

Law suit Filled !

Outstanding. I'm so glad to see this getting traction. I was just thinking that the case should have been filled by now, and followed up on this today. To my quite surprise, here it is!

Good read, there are some major "whoa!" statements in there. It certainly pays to have video/audio to go with this.

I too think this is a slam-dunk, and the culpable parties will soon be seeking out of court settlements. GIVE EM HELL!

Officer's comment

I'm at the deli asking a question when all of the sudden an arm comes from behind and around my throat and another hand is taking my firearm out of my holster.

I am marched through the store before all appearances with my hands behind my back. People I know are looking at me like I just stole something. I'm forced into a storage room by the store cop who physically detains me me for "carrying a firearm in the store". When asked for ID, I take the opportunity to also grab my phone and film this aftermath.

I have since unwound, but I'm still pretty shook up. I feel embarrassed, violated and humiliated. My argument is this: If you don't want firearms in your store fine, put up a sign or politely ask the individual to leave, but this man snuck up behind me and put me in some kind of choke hold and took my firearm!

I want to take action against this NODP officer and Whole Foods. How do I go about getting the security tapes, if they haven't deleted them already? I want the whole world to see how this store cop just ambushed and disarmed me. Mr. Bowser, if you end up reading this, I have but one question: Did it feel good? Do you feel powerful disarming American citizens? Have you no shame?

When he inquired to if you were a travelling man, was he alluding to fraternal affiliation by chance?

Yes. I also believe the OP has a compass and square design on the grips of the firearm that was temporarily taken from him.

******* - well played private hale. We must protect "the children" who are trolling the internet unsupervised while their parent(s) do...(who knows).... ???

I too hope the good Sarg gets his buttocks in a vice over his poor behavior as a commissioned "PEACE OFFICER" or in his mind that title = SS Officer & "show me your papers now gypsy!" Good thing the OCer had them or he would be off to the nearest FEMA camp. :(

god the sensitive people here....

No PFC Hale, it is not a case of the administration being "sensitive"; it is about the public image of OCDO.

We are widely read by the unregistered public at a ratio of about 3/1 to 4/1. There are currently 964 users online. 206 members and 758 guests.

These unregistered guests are the media, politicians, antis, fence sitters, clergy, mothers, grandmothers and children. Some of our members fall in these same categories. You presume to set a standard/tolerence akin to a men's smoker club.

What is more unfortuneate is that you have clearly gotten the not so subtle hint/message that such is NOT acceptable, yet you persist. There are stronger means available - do you really want to continue?

This is not personal, but a point about which I will not negotiate.

How did you let that OLD tyrant get the jump on you? You need to be more focused on your surroundings in the future.
Good luck with your civil litigation.

The employees may have been instructed to intentionally distract him? This whole event was a "shooting" in the making. You go for a lawful carriers gun in a steatlh attack, better hope you live to explain...most would assume the unknown person intent is to KILL you with your own gun & act accordingly. Many of the OCers I know carry atleast one BUG hidden on their weak side. Sounds like the sarg, couldn't have defended against that as both his hands were occupied. One on OCers holstered gun, other around OCers neck. He truly is lucky to be alive! DUMB@$$

No, I was not arrested.

Yes, you were arrested.

A very dangerous situation created by the failure of the store to post "no guns" sign and the aggressiveness of the officer. Your situation is why I prefer to carry concealed although I believe the requirement of a permit to be an infringement on my Second Amendment rights.

Always remember that few police officers rise to the level of a rocket scientist and that many are drunk on the power of their badge and gun.

Welcome to OCDO silvestris.

The absence or existence of a no guns sign would have modified the situation as it occurred not one iota. Please never suggest that such signs be posted - they only harm the public's perception of legal self-defense tools.

The officer's conduct/action was the primary, causative factor in creating a "dangerous situation."

It is your personal choice how you carry - will never criticize you for your determination of what works best for you.

Most of us here on OCDO do OC for the deterrent value, educational benefits, and/or just because it is more comfortable.

"Are you a traveling man?"

Geez... I just got it. Was this a mason cop giving a mason OCer a hard time? What's the world coming to...

I heard that too and instantely thought what a poor Mason. he clearly violated ritual. If i were the OP, i would bring him up on charges in his Lodge too and have him expelled.

wow, the video just gets worse "25 years as a LEO, im not going to let you get the drop on me" yeah, because a guy pushing a shopping cart/carrying a basket in whole foods is a clearly a threat.
