The proliferation of 'Active Shooters' on military bases aside, it seems ALL such Recruiting places have this sign posted on their doors; my question is, wouldn't a place such as this, in a strip mall [as they often are], be far different than ACTUAL Federal Property?

I would think that they would be leasing it and would therefore have no right to such a claim [Threats of imprisonment and such]?

It is a Federal Facility.

You think incorrectly.

18 USC 930(g)(1)
The term “Federal facility” means a building or part thereof owned or leased by the Federal Government, where Federal employees are regularly present for the purpose of performing their official duties.

Ah, so it's like when the Federal Government sets up a Military base but leases the land it from a State?

Hm. And That's why I asked. Thanks.

Just seems so back-asswards to me. Our Constitutional rights are DENIED on publicly owned property. Will they next be denying our rights to speech and prayer in public places? Of course they will, they already do. A California public school is purging it's library of any and ALL books of a Christian theme, written by a Christian, or published by a Christian firm. A PUBLIC SCHOOL. They started by banning the book 'The Hiding Place', a true story about a woman held in concentration camps during WWII. I met the woman when I was in school.

Use them or lose them, our rights are vaporizing right in front of us. The bad guys will always win if the good guys do nothing...

The book was not "banned from the library". According to the charter school in Temecula it was a curriculum warehouse with curriculum purchased with state funds. Also the history of the freedom of religion clause was initially to protect smaller religions from larger ones by making sure whoever was in power could not impose tributes taxes from other faiths or lack of faiths. Divide and conquer. Our founding father were indeed clever. The reporting on this story is awful. Most articles link to fox news or to the Pacific Justice Institute which has a shady past to say the least. If you want to be a Christian that is wonderful. I am of the opinion that even if a public school banned books in the library I would hope that parents would be involved in their kids lives enough to choose books for them from other sources. I would not want to rely only on the government to be the only point of origin for my child's education and learning.

Most things are not black and white and with religion as well as firearms, I am of the opinion that coming off with statements like "all christians authors banned" does a disservice for the cause. Instead of being a reactionary person if it is something you truly believe in there are better options then screaming from the mountain top. That is something I learned here. All I'm saying is it sounds silly and realistically almost nobody in the US wants to stop little Johnny from reading whatever he wants and I think it should be discussed some place else besides the Nevada forum. Freedom of religion also means freedom from your religion and freedom of the government from religion.

Edit: I did some research about the subject and i found it very interesting. I agree with CHIEF JUSTICE BURGER, with whom JUSTICE POWELL, JUSTICE REHNQUIST, and JUSTICE O'CONNOR join, dissenting. Source of info found at http://www.law.cornell.edu/supremecourt/text/457/853

I guess at military career centers they are just giving people a first taste of what the military is about. The military is one giant gun free zone except in combat zones, and defenseless to anyone who sneaks a pistol onto a base as demonstrated by two mass shootings at the same base.

Not to mention the Irony of the expectation of freedom, as you got to sign up... Giving away all freedoms.
