I was at a fund-raising dinner this spring, and Senator Don Benton was there. He stopped by our table to chat, and if I recall correctly he stated that this bill was killed in committee. And CMIIW, but isn't this legislativesession over?

Yes, we've discussed it in at least one thread in the Washington state portion of the forums. This bill died in committee and the legislative session is over. Some people have voiced concerns that this bill will simply resurface again once the newcomers (and incumbants) take office and start the next session. Apparently the three Seattle men who invented the technology for bullet/brass barcoding are still pushing legislation requiring it. (There's a surprise, they'd make a huge profit.)
