Twenty years ago today (1997). Microsoft shelled out 150 million dollars for a minority stake in struggling Apple Computer..

A 1K investment at that time is worth around 40K today. Nice Country America, and thank you Mr.Gates, best investment I ever made.:D

"Microsoft bailed out Apple" was BS 20 years ago, and still is. It was a drop in the bucket for Apple, and reflected their patent settlements.

I disagree Sir, Apple was struggling at the time for cash infusion and the lawsuit that was dropped by Microsoft was huge at the time for Apple..

Bottom line both companies made a lot of us little investors rather rich..
