The west side has been very active and making the news.
Well, we have a couple of weeks til the 3-day gun show.
Any thoughts on happenings in Spokane?
OC Meetings? Does not have to be a lunch.
Picnics at a park?
Events to be at with pamphlets?
Put in your 2 cents worth.

Mirabeau Point park is really nice. That is out in the valley, maybe close enough to drag a few from Idaho over the line. It is getting nice enough to have a picnic.

Pig Out In The Park

A couple of years ago there were issues with OC at the POITP. Do a search on here and you should be able to find it.

I don't think that the Spokane Municipal Code has been corrected (I keep meaning to talk to Howard about it) but we should be ok under preemption and the Seattle ban ruling. The only possible problem might be whetherRCW 70.108.150 (notes below from Handgunlaw.us)can be applied to Pig Out. I would say no because the primary purpose is to eat (they call it"Pig Out"for a reason)and the music offered is secondary.

RCW 70.108.150
"It shall be unlawful for any person, except law enforcement officers, to carry, transport or convey, or to have in his possession or under his control any firearm while on the site of an outdoor music festival." From RCW 70.108.020: 'For the purposes of this chapter the following words and phrases shall have the indicated meanings: (1) "Outdoor music festival" or "music festival" or "festival" means an assembly of persons gathered primarily for outdoor, live or recorded musical entertainment, where the predicted attendance is two thousand persons or more and where the duration of the program is five hours or longer: PROVIDED, That this definition shall not be applied to any regularly established permanent place of worship, stadium, athletic field, arena, auditorium, coliseum, or other similar permanently established places of assembly for assemblies which do not exceed by more than two hundred fifty people the maximum seating capacity of the structure where the assembly is held: PROVIDED, FURTHER, That this definition shall not apply to government sponsored fairs held on regularly established fairgrounds nor to assemblies required to be licensed under other laws or regulations of the state.' Hello All,
Mirabeau Park sounds like a good idea. We can get together and discuss. Any ideas where and when?
Also, it reads to me like we have conflicting RCW's.

Bump to the top.
With emphasis on the gun show. I would still like to get together at an OC meet to talk about the gun show.

Well squeak, maybe we can work in a nap for you somewhere during the meeting.

This Sunday (28th) works for me, about the only weekend day I will have free before the gun show. The temp will still be in the 50's with a possibility of rain so we may want to think about keeping this one indoors. As the weather gets nicer meetings/picnics would be a nice way to spend an afternoon.

I have no problem driving to any part of town for the meeting.

Anyone ever carry in Golden Corral, 7117 North Division, or know how friendly they are?

BTT

It's Thursday, if something is going to happen this weekend we need to make plans. If not the planning for the following weekend needs to be started.

Nothing scheduled for this weekend. We fiddled around too long and nobody made a decision. Let's plan for something the weekend of 12-13 June. Lots of time to bat around ideas and avoid any commitment between now and then.

If you've nothing else to do 2,3,4 April, stop by the Open Carry table at the Spokane Gun Show.

Well I hope you don't expect to drop off your stuff and leave. You will be required to stick around.
