I wasn't able to make the 2 news media events at Thunder Bay with the BBC and the Japanese due to work.

My wife and I had a day trip to Milwaukee yesterday and we stopped at Thunder Bay for lunch on the way home. I called the day before and was cheeringly given permission to carry there. We got there for a late lunch and the place was still very busy. Lots of people noticed I was carrying but there were no incidents.

Great restaurant, the food and service were excellent.

The food there is great. The service is even better.

The General Manager is a 1st class guy. His staff is as well. Its a pleasure to patronize them.

So.... If the person who gave you verbal permission on the phone isn't on duty when you show up and a LEO questions you, what is your defense? Is 'permission' defined as to the form and who has to give it?

I recorded the phone conversation and it includes the managers name and the date I got the permission as well as the date the permission was for. They have done this a few times at Thunder Bay and know the drill.

I know they have done it before, I was there OC'ing when the BBC was there, I was just wondering the actual logistics. Thank you.

When I went, there were a few dozen of us so I figured if I got arrested at least I'd have friend's in jail with me. I assumed Nik had it covered but had never asked how he did it specifically.
