Anyone in KY know about this 21 month old development? 100 to now 1,000 black school thugs rampaging in politically correct city? I assume the mayor and council are all democrats and are looking to FBI for guidance on they great job the Feds did for Baltimore and Ferguson MO.

News to me. Has Bevin started to do anything yet? Maybe keep it on the downlow until we get a new US A.G?

Yes, we knew about it 21 months ago and have now moved past that outrage and are on to the newest outrage that Louisville Metro has foisted upon it residents and that the mainstream, politically correct news media continues to ignore...
I believe a letter to the editor (maybe verbatim) of what you just posted is in order.

"Mayor and Police Department claimed they had lost control of the city and warned citizens that law enforcement could not protect them or handle the crisis "
If this is what they say after 200 what did they say after 2000 YNOs and friends take over a mall?
After one day didn't hear anything else about it here.
The mall is a GFZ right?
Any odds on this happening the weekend of May 20-22:banana:

Was discussing w some friends about going the Bourbon trail and thought we'd do some of the bars in Louisville. Maybe we'll go somewhere else, or wait till 'things clear up'. Ditto on swinging through there on trip to DC to visit daughter this spring.:(

Hold off on making a decision on that. The police, mayor's office and news media are meeting to work out the best way to convince people that this never happened. You might be able to come after all, if they can just come up with a story good enough to make you feel safe again. The news conference is set for tonight. I feel better already, because this is the first time anybody has take any action on anything. I see a solution to the problem in the near future.

Do you know if its open or just reporters?
If it is open when and where?

Yes, it would be, but anybody that requests a copy will be arrested.

Well that's a bummer. Might be worth it though. I can make that daring sacrifice. Curiosity and the desire to do the right thing often gets me in trouble

Louisville is absolutely fine. Just stay out of the West end.
I am here every day and never see any issues. I live close to the West End too.

It is a Liberal city with flawed liberal ideas but as long as you stay away from the west end you are fine.

Carry your firearm and be mindful as with most larger cities. But it's really not that bad.

Any UL Physicians practice will have said no-gun signs up.

Louisville could be worse. I shudder to think what would happen if KY didn't have pre-emption laws pertaining to guns. The West End will not stay in the West End when the people get riled up. There is nothing for them to vent against there. There is nobody there to blame for the state of it besides themselves. So they will go to places like the Big 4 Bridge, the malls, the low-crime/high price areas.

who are 'them' venting against 'there'?

who are blaming themselves ?

are 'they' the same who are 'them' who are blaming themselves ?

and what are 'them' blaming themselves about the state of ?

sorry, as a individual who is beginning their advanced educational program...you must pay attention and be exceptionally careful with these types of pronunciations being quite subjective and totally incorrect as there is a causal effect if you care to peel back the onion even slightly.

Not to derail this discussion on race or anything other than Louisville and recent crime increases caused by certain groups, I am replying in a PM to you :)

The Irish causing trouble again ? I've been all over Louisville...seems nice all over to me.

If cops cannot control the town, that's a GOOD thing IMO.
