I don't know why you like to talk-down at me, Gutshot; You may be one of a handful of people who are hardcore activists for the cause, but that doesn't make you better than everyone else, nor give you reason to sound the way you do. Yea, I didn't answer a couple questions, mostly because I disregarded them, and moved on. I know you may think, or feel, that I don't do enough to support open carry rights in our state, or that I'm not as open and out there as someone like my fellow Bath Countian, Self Pres, but that doesn't mean that I don't do my fair share. I don't like being in the spot light, and I don't like being out-there. I prefer to work behind the scenes, to lay-low, and do my part as best that I can, without making a name for myself. Y'all got a problem with that, then you need to check yourselves, and think about getting off your darn soapbox.
I've never had a problem with anyone of this sub-forum, other than differences of opinions, and feelings, and I respect everyone's opinions, even if my own is in stark contrast of theirs, but won't take being talked down to, because some of some grump's feelings of everyone being as hardcore as their selves.
I work a minimum wage job, and my sole mode of transportation is a fuel-guzzling SUV, so I cannot drive all over the state to do check ups and other crap that you yourself like to boast about being able to do, but when I do come and go to places outside of my area, like Lexington, or even L-ville, I like to sorta know ahead of time what I can expect, and if anything has changed, from the people who CAN AFFORD to keep visual tabs on things. I'm sorry that's not good enough for your fancy tastes, but quit taking it out on me.
BB62 note: Drake continued in a follow-up post:
For what it's worth; Will be OC my hi-point in a properly secured holster. I expect that I will be confronted by security, and/or law enforcement. But, I hope that I won't. I'm writing down a number for KC3 and ACLU on a card to keep on my person in case I am illegally arrested/detained for legally openly carrying. I will NOT go, or be near the Security checkpoint, nor the TSA and federal controlled portions of the airport will firearms are restricted/forbidden. I plan to park in the parking garage, and accompany my mother, who is begging me not to Open Carry, because she doesn't want me to get arrested for open carrying, and breaking the signs on the doors that say firearms prohibited. I told her over the phone about the state pre-emption, and the law being on my side, but she is being edgy, but accepting.
Guys, I have a favour to ask anyone here, who is on friendly terms with myself; if you see a guy with pink hair on the news, being arrested, please, contact KC3, or a firearms law attorney, and send them my way.
Gutshot complains that I don't reciprocate, and others think I may not do enough, well, I hope you're happy with this. I'm scared of police, and afraid of sitting in a jail cell, but if it earns me the respect of those who have no respect for me, and proves my loyalty to the Constitution of the U.S., and Kentucky, and helps advance the LAW-ABIDING, LEGAL, PROTECTED, right to open carry, then so be it. I really hope nothing goes on, I'd like to have a nice dinner with him and my mother.
