I know of several law enforcement agencies here in Washington State are suspending non-criminal fingerprinting operations (CPL/CCL/CHL, Employment, etc.) due to COVID-19 concerns. I know there are some states/localities that mandate that in order to OC, one must have the CPL to do so.

Anyone being affected by this??

Here in my county you will NOT be arrested except for a dui or a violent crime, even if LE witnesses other non violent thefts etc. Period.

The court house is shut down until April 16th. I guess that means I can run expired plates from April 1 to the 16th.

Ky will finger print a non criminal if the person requests it.

It doesnt do so for non criminals as a matter of course.

The title of the op baffles me...why would LE consider fingerprinting citizens who have not committed a violation of the criminal laws.

Fingerprinting is done for various reasons, not just for criminal reasons.

Decennial Census operations are in the midst of hiring, & a requirement for hiring is to be fingerprinted for background check.

Both Benton County Sheriff & Richland Police have suspended non-criminal fingerprinting operations.

Most law enforcement agencies doing this will post via social media that they are taking such action.

Not that I like the gov. having my fingerprints or DNA, but so what? What good does the gov. having that info serve them and harm you? It ties you to a crime or it doesn't. The supreme Court has already said you voluntarily leave your prints in the public all the time. And a judge can order you to give your prints. You already have the mark of the beast. So, what is the valid objection?

...all finger printing does is determine if you were a criminal...just as having a driver's license in no way determines your driving skill level...money scheme, nothing more...

Minor update: Franklin County Sheriff's Office is doing fingerprinting again for CPLs. You need to call & set up an appointment to do so.
