OCing in those jurisdictions that utilize RSMo 21.750.3 is RAS. If a valid permit is issued and not presented a $35 fine (citation) can be issued. If no valid permit issued, the $1000 fine and 180 days in the klink is in play. The cops requested and the citizens complied, no citation or klink was put into play. Good on the cops and citizens.

If a permit is required for exercising a right, the right becomes a government issued privilege and if a citizen surrenders his/her God given constitutional right then the cost of said privilege can become whatever the issuer of said privilege deems said privilege to be...

Murdock V Pa (1943).. " States do not have the power to " license or tax" a right guaranteed to the people'

OC, I know your not a fan of Terry v Ohio, just imagine if folks invoked Murdock with the same passion as LEO invoke Terry.

Again in my humble opinion fear and ignorance by the citizens make RSMo 21.750.3 a potent weapon of the G..
I often wonder what part of " shall not be infringed do folks not clearly understand, again fear and ignorance clouds the brain.

The armed individuals peacefully complied. Several with the antifa groups said the action violated their rights under state law allowing them to openly carry weapons. They said they planned to fight the order but decided not to take any action at the park.

..."
The above statement is incorrect. RSMo 21.750.3, while unconstitutional, is the law of the land in Missouri. If they had a permit then their rifles and handguns could remain loaded and locked. The city ordinance and state statue is quite clear on this point. Until the state legislature rectifies the language in RSMo 21.750.3 compliance is required. This is in keeping with the forum rule regarding the obeying all laws and changing them via the ballot box or via the courts.

It seems to me that if any of those who complied with the request had a permit and knew the laws, which they appear to not know based on the above statement, they would have remained loaded and locked and those cops could not do a thing to change that.

Sec. 50-261. - Unlawful use of weapons—Generally.
(a) A person commits the ordinance violation of unlawful use of weapons, except as otherwise provided by RSMo 571.101 to 571.121, if he or she knowingly;
(7) Fails to display his or her valid Missouri concealed carry endorsement issued prior to August 28, 2013, his or her valid Missouri concealed carry permit issued pursuant to RSMo 571.101 to 571.121 or his or her valid concealed carry endorsement or permit issued by another state or political subdivision of another state that is recognized by the State of Missouri upon demand of a law enforcement officer while openly carrying a firearm; or
The ordinance that comports with RSMo 21.750.3

“To carry openly you have to be able to carry concealed. Welcome to my world,” Jamison said of the Kansas City ordinance.
Not true now that Missouri is permit free CC. No, currently as the state law is written they do not have a case to make.

“I could make a case out of it for them,” Jamison said. “A lot of things are legal. Whether they’re a good idea or not is another thing.”
Cops are in the legal and illegal business and not the right or wrong business.

I have provided the required cites that confirm that the cops were very reasonable, and accommodating of the citizens rights to be armed-ish while exercising their 1A. An argument could be made that they were too right and wrong vs. legal and illegal.

Good on those cops.

As a group that participates in terrorism, they are no longer protestors but enemy combatants. They pose a threat to police by their very presence because of the penchant for violence. Distance? how far does a bullet travel?

Disarm ISIS permanently, YES. ANTFA is a domestic group that has proven they will commit violence when they can. When they gather they should all be treated as enemies of the state. They put themselves in this position of their own free will.

Clearly whatever you are smoking is dimming your LEO legal brain. Folks have a right to gather without being labeled as criminals by the Government.. LEO fear is not a legal reason to detain and clearly not to disarm.. Try to recall PC, RAS, due process, and yes the Constitution.. The exercising of a right even by those deemed a hostile threat to LE is not a crime and to think otherwise makes one ignorant to the rule of law. If cops are fearful of folks gathering while open carrying a weapon I suggest said LEO find another profession.. Two legal activities are not cause for RAS.. Officer safety is the same as little old lady safety while little old lady sits at home looking out her window at all those law abiding citizens gathering while open carrying those scary weapons. Little old lady's fear is not cause to detain or disarm, neither is the fear of a LEO. WW, please do away with the pipe and your LEO ignorant thinking... If your thoughts are also the thoughts of 21st century American LEO than surely the country is under tyrannical rule.

Thomas Jefferson said" the greatest danger to American freedoms is when government does not honor the constitution."

WW, lose the pipe and the LEO mind set.. This is the 21st century and some folks have a video camera and some even understand the constitution..

Firearms legislation preemption by general assembly,exceptions--limitation on civil recovery against firearms orammunitions manufacturers, when, exception.

RSMo 21.750. 3. (2) In any jurisdiction in which the open carrying of firearms is prohibited by ordinance, the open carrying of firearms shall not be prohibited in accordance with the following:

(a) Any person with a valid concealed carry endorsement or permit who is open carrying a firearm shall be required to have a valid concealed carry endorsement or permit from this state, or a permit from another state that is recognized by this state, in his or her possession at all times;

(b) Any person open carrying a firearm in such jurisdiction shall display his or her concealed carry endorsement or permit upon demand of a law enforcement officer;

(c) In the absence of any reasonable and articulable suspicion of criminal activity, no person carrying a concealed or unconcealed firearm shall be disarmed or physically restrained by a law enforcement officer unless under arrest; and

(d) Any person who violates this subdivision shall be subject to the penalty provided in section 571.121.
Based on the Kansas City Scar's reporting no citizen was disarmed. It appears that the cops did not object to the citizens unloading their firearms.

I shall do my best to "stop confusion him", Joe; but only if you promise to stop confusion "confusing" with "confusion".:p

If you will grant me a boon, I would like to use your post (with subtle changes of course) to show to my students. I'd like to think they would get a kick out of it and I can just append it to the next pop quiz as extra credit.

Falls, whatever I can do to assist in educating our youth and helping out a fellow member.. I am a team player.
Now Falls, please stop CONFUSING WW, old LEO still thinking like young LEO, they are both brain washed.

Falls whenever I can be of service, don't hesitate to ask. In the words of Khalil Gibran " When we turn to one another for counsel we reduce the number of our enemies"..

Falls, you may want to have your students read and sight to memory- " Always stand on principle even if you stand alone" John Adams

And for us all " Old minds are like old horses, you must exercise them if you wish to keep them in working order". John Adams
