Ouch i just got some bad news you arent going to like.

You CAUSED 5 robberies, 2 rapes and a murder on that same night...

When the first criminal saw you carrying he decided to look elsewhere for a target, he saw a woman in a phonebooth and unfortunately decided to rob, rape and beat her.

A small group of thugs saw you open carrying and after deciding that you were trying to intimidate them, they decided to go take it out on a couple white guys walking down the street, both men robbed and beaten to within an inch of their lives.

The first criminal decided that tonight was his lucky night. He robs another woman that night, decides to rape and murder another one.... He was just going to take your wallet originally. If you had just given it to him, there would be one less death and 4 less victims.

You caused people to be beaten raped and murdered tonight by open carrying a firearm.

PROVE....ME......WRONG!!!!

No.
I still PREVENTED the crimes against me and mine.

And those "others".......

They was gonna happen anyway, were out of my presence, and to people I do not know...... so I had no way of preventing OR causing them.
(or if you prefer)
YOU were the cause of those other crimes because you weren't there to prevent them.

So should marionmedic disarm himself because someone, somewhere, didn't take precautions to protect themselves as well? He didn't make the criminal(s) target other folks.

Yes he should disarm himself. Thats exactly what i said isnt it? Oh yeah im reading it right now and you are correct, that is precisely what i said, you nailed my opinion down like a pro.

Sarcasm aside, no i do not think he should disarm himself and for you to have to reach way out and say something as stupid as that just proves that your mind is possibly as warped as that mans. If you think he prevents crime every time he walks past a person while hes wearing his gun then how the hell can you imply that he cant, at the same time, be responsible for the criminal choosing the NEXT target? We are talking in ridiculously moronic hypotheticals here, unless you ACTUALLY agree with this mans theory that hes some crime preventing super hero with a .45....

This is one thing that really, REALLY makes the gun owner/carrier community look like complete wackjobs, when we start coming up with crap like this and talking about shooting people dead because they took a pack of gun out of our car.... Its insane.

You cannot prevent a crime in which you cannot provide a criminal nor victim for, it doesnt make sense because it never happened. Why not claim you stopped an alien invasion? Why not claim that some invisible floating alien spaceship is scared off every single day just because you got your shiny little gun on your side?

Seriously, guns help people in REAL ways, why dont we focus on those instead of trying to make people believe we are comic book characters fighting invisible crime?

I dont understand your logic. The criminal who was going to rob you was going to take your wallet, go buy cigs and booze and go home. Because you scared him off and made him made he became enraged and killed/robbed/raped other people that night. Sure you protected yourself and your wife but you CAUSED the other people to be victimized. They werent just "gonna happen anyway" as ive already stated.

You claim they were out of your presence and people you do not know so you had no way of preventing them, yet there were no CRIMINALS in your presence and no CRIME so how did you stop it??

Then immediately after claiming you couldnt stop the crimes because you werent there and didnt know the people, you turn around and claim that I am the person responsible because I was not there.

So neither of us were there and neither of us knew the victims, yet im responsible and you are not, even though the criminal victimized these people solely because you prevented him from victimizing you?

Have you ever heard of completely ass backwards logic?

This thread is based on stupidity and for one to actually think it applies leaves their mental capacity in question.

Be kind.

We are havin fun and exposing the misconceptions and misinformation that the anti's have and use in this thread.

I haven't been offended by a single comment so far.
And I hope noone else has either.

So lets not get a argument going over a tongue in cheek thread. (based in reality)

BTW - I still prevented those attacks.

LOL

Who said we should shoot people for taking items from our cars ???
That's a little extreme I think.

But I would like to catch someone stealing out of my truck.
I think I could have some real fun til the cops arrived.
Might even be able to cause the guy to cry or soil himself if I worked at it.
LOL

If you acted upon what you comment says, you would likely be sitting in jail unless the State allowed to display a firearm to prevent this type of crime, few do.

Yeah, some of the silly bluster here would result in criminal charges if acted upon. The real foolishness is that these comments can be admitted in court as demonstrations of intent.

Don't just intend to break the law. Tell everyone that you intend to do so. Work to guarantee conviction and maximize your sentence!

That being said, I don't ever intend to shoot someone simply for theft, or even threaten him with a gun simply for theft--even though Alabama law would allow it under some circumstances. My gun exists for the protection of life and limb, not "things."

COMMENTS REMOVED BY ADMINISTRATOR: Personal attacks

Which was a useless act..... my comments are now posted as quotes and are "out of context" below.

But I guess it only matters that I answered the initial "personal attack" in #56 above.... not that poster above is being allowed to do the same.

Correct.

Thankfully, I have the right to "use" a firearm to stop a felony by MS state law.
Burglary is a felony.

And "use" means everything from presenting it to shooting.

But I never said I would even HAVE a firearm.
My mind was elsewhere in terms of dealing with thieves.
