I use a Fobus HK1, I really like it. Probably would have Blackhawk Serpa, except last timechecked they do not make any for my Ruger. Uncle Mike is a so-so cheap holster. I not crazy about them, but they don't cost much and are fairly comfortable.

Thanks for input ....... I've noticed that some are classified as concealment style holsters, even though they are carried on hip..... more concerned with getting the "wrong" one and being hauled off by a LEO because of it........ Iwill carry a S&W 1911

Cheers

You do not want to use a fobus holster for anyting other than range use.

Do a google video search for "Fobus Gun Grab"

After watching that video IF you OC with a fobus you are just asking for problems :p:p:p

There's been alot of debate about that video on this forum and others. Suffice it to say that it is not the most accurate depiction of the Fobus holster.

Why take a superb pistol that's rather expensive and put it in a cheap hunk of plastic that is known for being cheap hunks of plastic and risk the S&W.

Comp-Tac and Blade-Tech holsters are so much better not to mention they are cheap for what you get in quality.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the input....... I decided on a lined Galco dual position phoenixmodel........ I have to agree with Mjolnir on this one ..... A $1000.00 pistol needs a good holster....

Has anyone gone to Front-Sight in Neveda? opinions........

I also use the HK1 -- do you have a sigma?

I also used a Fobus OWB in the past for my G20, but recently bought a Comp-Tac FBI paddle holster. Holds much tighter to the body, seems more secure. Also has velcro in addition to the regular paddle part, for belts so equipped.

Comp-Tac has some nice holsters. I bought their paddle because I already had their CTAC for concealed carry (IWB).
