Not only do they function without problem, but they are probably one of THE BEST choices for pistolwhipping.

After putting .45 ACP and .40 S&W Hi-Point pistols through a thorough shooting test, the author says you can call the Hi-Point pistols inexpensive, but don’t ever say they aren’t good shooters!

The first thing I did upon taking the C9 out of the box was fire 200 rounds as fast as I could load and fire it. As the pistol only came with one magazine, that took a while, but I had no malfunctions. Let me say that again: It went bang every time I pulled the trigger during my pre-test, during filming for Personal Defense and at my later range sessions where I tested it for accuracy.

No way??? You mean it sent a bullet 100yds out?? Wow.... Color me impressed... It doesn't show his next shot probably broke the thing lol

So you're telling me you can stack rounds (holes touching each other like a sowing machine made them, out of a 3 inches of rifling @ 100 yards. Out of six shots he put one in the 10 ring, had four stacked (touching) and one other off on its own in the 7 ring IIRC? You often speak from ignorance. This thread is just one more example. Stupid is a stupid does, if I were a wannabe cop/meter-maid/firemen etc like you claim to be, I would consider myself foolish not to want to know as much as possible about the weapons that may be used against me. HP 45 pistols with a 45acp after market mag are capable of 14+1 & the 40 S&W is capable of carrying 15+1 on par with most LEA sidearms for capacity, all with a fixed barrel design (more accurate) and less felt recoil. Yes, keep discounting them super cop, better wear your Kevlar cup & helmet, as these are capable of putting rounds to point of aim consistently. :) What a chuckle head you are Sir. Troll on, troll on...

Here's a video of nutnfancy just tearing up a steel target tree with the lowly C9.

And the 9mm carbine which he seems to like.

Troll alert

Free the whole thread was started with the intent to troll, seems to be a pattern for him. I can't imagine someone who spends so much time on the internet is dumb enough to make such ridicules posts and start such lame threads and not know how to research before putting foot in mouth.

To make it simple, it is none of his damn business what someone else carries. If he does not like it, too blanking bad, because nobody is going to change their minds on his words. Only a fool thinks he can control any choices of others, a smart person knows that only the control of one's self is achievable.

If he is that convinced he should not need to defend himself if a criminal points a Hi Point at him. How could he possibly or reasonably believe his life is in danger when he believes the guns are junk. He should let the criminal take the shot, and then he will know the results of whether a Hi Point can do the job.

I've seen firsthand what the Hi Point 45 is capable of in MY (relatively inexperienced) hands; if I hadn't shot it and like it, I sure as hell wouldn't own it now, would I?
[NOTE: For those who don't know me: my budget is tight, my space is limited, and the concept of "safe queens" is currently an abomination for me. This should change within the next two years.;)).

Personally, I'm glad people like him who don't like Hi Points keep trashing them on every gun forum (and then some); will keep the price low and allow for more range time (money isn't saved, just reinvested:cool:).

Very true, the haters are keeping prices low for us.

Good Points! Never mind my earlier posts! Hi-Points are just terrible. Do not buy them they are just no good for anything other than a paper weight. ;) This why I own so many, all those technical papers need many weights to hold them down.

I will have to dig, but I once read that Glocks only cost $75 dollars to manufacture. I would imagine that the price of manufacturing a Hi Point is not much lower than that. Glocks get such a premium because people have been convinced they are better than doughnuts. Hi Points price has gone up some, probably from the good press and reviews they have been getting. Damn those people being honest.

If it's good enough for Jeff Quinn, it's good enough for me. That being said, I'll never own one out of personal preference.

The British thought so in WWII .... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Webley_Revolver

When out of ammo, its something to consider...

Primus has offered nothing more than opinion on pistol's accuracy.

I assume that when a cop runs out of rounds he just goes home and calls it a day. Those dogs are hard to shoot!

Accuracy is normally not a gun problem, though sometimes a loose nut behind the grip can cause problems.
