It will be worth it! :) Please help by posting all issues here.

A freind of mine is travaling from S.E. WI to NW WI and does not yet have his CCW License (we are talking a class together with a few other friends Thursday night)...

He asked the inevitable question on how to carry his firearm leagaly while driving. I told him that although open carry is legal, without a CCW he would be taking a chance of being hasssled by LEO and possibly even arrested for open carrying his firearm on his hip while driving. I also told him about the driving through a school zone (1000 ft.) without a CCW is still not legal.

To make a long story short, against my instincts to advise anyone to be armed in self-defense, I basically gave him the impression that it might not be a good idea, as he was also new to open carrying....

Thoughts.....???????

PS He is leaving this weekend so any thoughts here will reach his ears...

You pretty much covered the major negative points.
It annoys me that we have to worry about doing something legal because people who are supposed to know the laws don't.
Maybe eventually OC in a car will become known as legal just as OC has.

Place several mirrors inside the vehicle to show the firearm clearly visible from the exterior so no one can complain that it was concealed.
