I'm sorry you're annoyed :uhoh:, but it's my understanding (from reading the forum rules, as well as the description of the Social Lounge) that long guns are off topic, even in the Social Lounge.
(The stated exception being for places like CA where that's all you're allowed.)
If the moderators disagree, they won't close or delete the thread.

(14) LONG GUN CARRY IS OFF-TOPIC

As long as I have been a member long gun discussion has never been off topic.

The owners and moderators of this forum are "gun people" too, just like most everyone else here. I am willing to guess that a large majority of the people who operate this site own and use a long gun regularly. The operators just do not want (us) to promote anything that they find may hurt their (our) cause, to normalize carrying of firearms in modern society.

They feel, understandably, that carrying an AR into walmart probably would terrify people and would ultimately hurt the cause.

I ruled this post acceptable but moved it to the Lounge. It is not about Long Gun Open Carry but rather one of our friends is attempting to win a contest. That is fine so long as it is posted in the Lounge.

I'm in Las Vegas, so some of you are close enough to shoot it. The only way I'm going to win is if you guys help me. I need you to post the link everywhere you can think of.
If you don't want to do that for me, it's completely fine.
Sorry if this seems like spam.

Well, now, that part does...

But I clicked yours for you, and checked out the site. I'd heard of it, but never used it. Probably still won't, but they got me to check them out, and that's what promotions are all about.

Yeah, the guy in the lead has acquired about 2,000 points in just a few days. I've given up all hope of winning.
I think the guy in the lead runs a large forum and has it advertised, or he mass emailed a million people.
