Hi all, just found this site and posted about the re-opening of X-Ring supply on 3-29, in the X-Ring thread.

I have a nice collection of firearms, mostly semi's, both HG's and Long Guns. Several of which are home builds.

I shoot Trap occasionally up at Ommelanden but have never used their firing range.

I shoot Pistol and Rifle out at Alexander's Sporting Farms in Golt's MD, their ranges are 10 to 600 yards but membership only. Though very reasonable at $125/yr. No ammo restrictions other than no incendiary or .50 BMG.

No FA due to a round last year going over the berm and striking the office.

BTW, Caroline Co Sherrifs PD, thanks:cuss:

Other than that, shoot what ya bring.

Also shoot at Shooters Choice in N. Dover but rarely as I can/do pistol shoot in my back yard.

Anyway, hello.:)

Welcome to the'Group'. Wish I could shoot in my back yard. 1/4 acre isn't large enough. Neighbors less then 100 feet. So what brought you to open carry? Do you have a CCDW or do you carry openly?

We're always
looking for new 'members'.

Thanks again, for the welcomes,everyone.

Here is a pic of my backyard backstop, It's half inch plate steel set on a compound angle (more than one) The upper angle being about 22* the lower around 45* with side plates welded on to catch any splatter to the sides.

The angles cause a forced riccochet into the ground and has held up to 8mm Mauser but anymore, I try to limit it to trials of my pistol reloads and the occasional testing of one of my homebuilds.

If I plan to do a bunch of target practice, I head out to Alexanders.

What brought me to OC? I was looking for info for a co-worker who questioned me about OC-ing after he saw someone OC-ing. I told him it was totally legal in DE with some constraints. I just wanted to check my facts, post conversation, to make sure what I'd told him was correct. Adn I stumbled across your site.

Me, I have had my CCDW for about 13 years and through reciprocity am covered for 33 states.

While I don't advocate OC-ing, I totally support it. Me personally, I feel that the morelegally armed and trained folks out there, the better.

I put extra emphasis on and trained for several reasons. If you own a gun, you should be proficient in not only it's use and maintenance but also it real world situation shooting (under stress) as well as weapon retention.

If you are going to OC, then"Weapon Retention" training is an absolute must have. As much or more so than shooting. With CC, more the other way around but still critical. In some situations, the presence of a firearm will escalate a situation andOC-ing (IMO) makes you a target to the bad guys. As in, the first person to get shot during a crime.

But I realize that not everyone has the Luxury of a CC Permit so OC-ing is the only legal way to go armed. And again, I support that.

BTW, I'm glad that I found your site and I think that it's a good thing that you all are trying to obey the laws and stay armed at the same time as well as working as a group to dispell the Myth that only bad people carry guns.

Just be careful out there folks! Please., remember your "situational awareness" is key to survival, long before your gun will come into use.

Peace,

Del

Fords and Chevy's kill more people than guns do, let's ban them.

No problem, I was posting it for you as much as for anyone else who might be curious. Having FL and PA non-res permits really expands the reciprocity (over DE alone)and both are "Shall Issue" states and fairly easy to get. Especially if you are ex-military or already hold a DE permit.

Only, while both have reciprocity with DE, DE will not accept an out of state permit "if you are a DE resident".

Thanks for figuring out my omission.
