$6M now! Wow, I'm impressed. Still a long way to go but I admire a sincere effort to help defend the nation.

For those who suck at math: the actual projected cost of the wall is $5 bn, not $1 bn. Even at the current pledged total of $15,452,731, they're at a whopping 0.3% of the total cost.

For those who suck at the Constitution: other than a few things like national parks, donations to the federal treasury all go into the general fund, and can't be restricted to one particular cause that the donor prefers. That's because funding of projects requires that Congress allocate the funds, and no federal agency can spend a dime without such a budget allocation.

And for those who, um, don't excel at geography, the entire border is close to 2000 miles. $5bn is likely just for some priority segments. But I like the effort. Sounds like a great national park monument. $16M is not much to big guv but it's a lot to us.

Wow, anyone who locks the door and has a fence (or a private bank account) must be such a racist! Wonder if Clymer is the blond hefty one with all the chilling M-16 experience from that other video.

And the Dems said it would cost $71.5 billion... Who can one trust?

As the gent states on the GFM page: "The government has accepted large private donations before, most recently a billionaire donated $7.5 Million to fund half of the Washington Monument repairs in 2012; this is no different. " (emphasis his)

Where in the Constitution does it state that donations to the NPS are ok but nothing else is?

The entire country is not your private property.

Sounds like Commies and antiAmericans have gotten to people through the media. Watch out for their tricks.

If you do believe in private property, you may also believe that includes owning money?

If so, it's probably a contradiction to believe in open borders, because our money is taken from us and used for these people. Besides income, perks, and services, they also compete for jobs and resources. If there are no limits, how much of your own money can you keep? And how can an economy survive?

Not to mention a culture and a mostly peaceful, law-abiding society believing in the Constitution, rule of law, and human rights.

I believe in owning money in the form of precious metals.

Don't be a Commie Tool. If you think the Constitution compels us to import unlimited outsiders who do not believe in the Constitution nor respect the rule of law and our heritage that formed this country, you are culturally and economically suicidal. You cannot be a true believer in the Constitution while helping the Progressives to get rid of the Constitution. Surely they can't fool gun owners that easily nowadays, can they? Come on, snap out of it - this has nothing to do with race. Don't be a Commie Tool!

I concur. Well worth repeating. Nice summary, HP995.
