Hawaii was Obama's best state, with 71% for him. This is where he grew up.

And Utah was Romney's best state, with 73% for him. This is the land of his forefathers.

The closest state too close to call is obviously Florida. They still don't know and are still "counting". Counting in Florida includes retrieving boxes of ballots from the ocean, and from poll workers' trunks of their cars.

The only 2 states that changed from 2008 were Indi and NC.

Each of the other states voted the same as 2008.

So $3 billion advertising dollars were wasted on 26 electoral votes, not enough to make any difference anyway.

And "other" votes did not make a difference, so everyone who chose a lesser of two evils (when there was a third candidate that was more in line with their philosophy) cast a vote for status quo, affirming to the big two parties that they will be supported no matter what socialist runs for either.

Even worse, SIX BILLION dollars were spent to keep the incumbent in the White House, the Senate in Democrats' hands and the House of Representatives in Republicans' hands.

In other words, status quo.

I wrote in my candidate who wasn't even eligible to be a write in in my state. I felt that my candidate was the best choice for president and I was not going to vote one of the big two.

My state still went to the "lesser of two evils" though.

It's too bad that money could not have gone to reducing the deficit or setting up homeless shelters for the poor.
