Those whack jobs are proving my point. If ever the Department of Justice needed to shut something down, it's not lil' ole me standing up for the helpless citizen in the face of omnipotent police power, it's the multiple police departments that are attacking each and every one of us, every day.

I do wish the Obama administration would get in the game and would start prosecuting these cops under federal civil rights violations.

What sort of fascistic tyrannical thugs are these to think that they can quash free speech?

Remember the three rules. They prove them, every day.

Were I a moderator, I would have banned smoking357 a long damn time ago, but no, we can't have any moderators, so dicks like him go unchallenged, and cause these PR problems for the face of the OC movement.

If this is not a good enough call for a tiny amount of moderation I don't know what is.

John and Mike, you have been the heart of this movement, and you are allowing it to be damaged by refusing to appoint moderators.

Heed my words, this site and this movement stands to be substantially damaged by your actions, and this is unnacceptable.

I believe in this movement from the bottom of my feet to the top of my head, you must act to protect the image of the open carry movement, else all may be for nauight.

They're whining about a response to a thread, which thread was started by someone else, made about the cops killing a minister. Some peaceable fellow is dead, and you complaint about me?

If this is not a good enough call for a tiny amount of moderation I don't know what is.
So the cops kill people and commit all manner of abuses; we complain about these actions, and we're the problem?

That the cops are making threats to violate to Constitution as a result of public critique and are wishing death upon me for sharp comment proves my case, not yours.

My totals, to date:

Persons killed: 0
Persons tasered: 0
Persons I've brutalized: 0

You dare complain about me? Shame on you.

WHAT THE F#&* IS GOING ON WITH OUR POLICE ?!!??!!??!!??
It's time, people.

Know the three rules:

1. Police are an army whose enemy is the People.

2. Police are the greatest enemy America has ever faced.

3. America would be better off without the police.

When we see a car pulled over, we need to realize that there is a citizen at risk. We need to start defending each other.

It's time we all remembered what open carry is all about
,
and it ain't protection against burglars.

It's time.

You're making OCDO look bad, S357.

I disavow your cheap cheeky attempts at pseudo-revolutionary rabble rousing.

Why don't you try to prove your argument, rather than making a vacuous appeal to salving the egos of the very people with whom we're in frequent opposition.

You'll do everything possible to avoid having to prove your position.

Shame on you.

Smoking, given the membership list of that forum, and the views of multiple individuals there, it is quite clear that you do give OC a bad name. Granted the thread starter over there is also at least equally abrasive and hard-line as you, those from there who read here do see how "noisy" you are.

Comments such as the one that started the thread over there DO put us here in a bad light.

Do you have a counter-argument or just an unalloyed display of emotion?

If you have truck with the reality that police are a standing army, know that I cannot claim novelty on this topic.

"What was the origin of our own standing army? It was formed, as you doubtless know, out of a remnant of the victorious army of the Parliament which had overthrown the monarchy, a remnant which was saved from disbandment in order to overawe the turbulent of London, or in other words to serve as a body os police. It continued to be the only efficient instrument for imposing the will of the Government upon the people until 1829, when the present police-force was established. And the police are a standing army, neither more nor less. The only essential difference between police and soldiers is that the former are employed mainly in the coercion of subjects of the State which levies them, while the function of the latter is to coerce the subjects of foreign states. It would not be inaccurate to say that police are soldiers against domestic enemies, and an army police against foreign enemies."

Grow up. A minister is dead. A fire chief is shot for contesting traffic tickets.

Is it the meteorologist's fault for reporting that the storm blows?

As for their "membership," they are public servants, and their hateful and vindictive comments toward a citizen prove my case about them. Your comments prove my case about you.

No, you are in the company of rational thinkers. You come off as something else entirely. Unless you were there, you are blowing smoke.

Smoking......You say its time. Time for what. Why not explain to us just exactly what you mean when you say "When we see a car pulled over, we need to realize that there is a citizen at risk. We need to start defending each other. " What are you implying we do???

When we are discussing an negative encounter with LE or a news story about something gone horribly wrong, we are discussing the indiviuals involved. Granted...there are bad cops out there, fortunately they are the minority.

LE is NOT our enemy. You think this country would be a better place without LE? I will agree that there are LEO's out there that need to be educated about the laws they enforce, and there are some that shouldn't be wearing the badge. But the majority of them do their job with honor.

When you make comments like the "three Rules" crap above, you put us all in a bad light. First and foremost....THIS IS NOT A COP-BASHING SITE. I read the thread linked, and I'll agree that some of them definately have an attitude problem. Why make it worse with comments like this?

So, I'll ask you again. What exactly do you mean when you say "Its Time"?

I've also raid some of that thread that Sheriff posted. Though there are some over there that seem to have abrasive attittudes towards OCDO, others are more moderate. Many of the posters there do not want to see OCDO shut down, citing 1A. One even suggested "that if OCDO were to be shut down, who's to say Officer.com couldn't be next?"

Smoking357, it was you comments from this forum that were posted on the Officer forum, that stirred the pudding over there. Are you happy?

I'd like to second MarlboroLts query as to what mean by your remarks. What is it, exactly, that you are trying to instigate?

I might not agree with what 357 said, but is this necessary?

He doesn't represent their entire group...I don't think. Nobody on that site could be stupid enough to come "defend" a citizen on a traffic stop with a gun on their hip.

I don't open carry while off duty but it's legal where I police and despite what that wacko thinks, I put on my vest, kiss my honey goodbye and go out to protect that law amongst all the others 5 days a week.

Perhaps Karma will come around and the author of that post will see the front end of a DUI coming thru his window. Defend that
Whom needs moderated now?
