Hello people, I am new to ND, but have a few questions.

I am a minor, but own a glock, and a springfield. Anyways, my questions:

  • Are Minors allowed to OC?
  • Is OC legal in ND?
  • Do any of you, OC in West Fargo/Fargo area?

I've read the PDF file, but can't quite understand it, as it's been a long week, and everything. I might just be blind too, but help me out North Dakotans!

Thanks,

Nick

Welcome to OCDO - rather than try to answer all of your questions plus the others that are sure to follow, first read the below links. There are some "sticky wickets" with your being a minor. I note that you did not say specifically what age.

North Dakota is not a traditional open carry state. However, it is a shall-issue state that issues a carry permit that allows both open and concealed carry. Age to OC is 18yo, but a permit is required.

I see numerous exceptions, but do not read that OC is prohibited in that link:
http://crime.about.com/od/gunlawsbystate/a/gunlaws_nd.htm

On the first page, under the "Handguns" section

"Permit to carry handguns? Yes - Concealed only."

That doesn't say that OC is prohibited. It indicates erroneously that a permit is needed for only CC when in fact it is needed for either OC or CC.
That misinformation is corrected by other references on this thread.
