Minnesota is kind of being jerky about this, political I suspect. Add some states, remove some states . Total is a net loss in count of people eligible to carry in MN, from what I've seen and read.
With a WI CCL adding MN non-resident doesn't add ANY other states.
The Utah license doesn't add MN.
The Nevada does, but you have to go there to get it.
Best bet as a WI resident seems to be to just bite the bullet, if you travel to MN?
Iowa is similar in that they require a permit to open or conceal, yet they DO accept WI.
I suspect the ability in WI to get a CCL with nothing but a Hunter Safety Course from 1985 when one was 14 is used by some states as an excuse to not accept. Helps as a WI resident, but not so much if you travel out of state. To the extent that one should NEED any kind of a permit to carry a firearm anywhere.......
