Are there any members here from Deschutes County? How friendly is the Sheriff there in terms of the CHL application process?

Is Deschutes County open carry friendly?

Thanks!

I am curious too, my parents have thier retirement home in Sisters and I will be traveling down that way without a Oregon CHL (at least to begin with). What is the status down that way ??

I got my first CHL with Deschutes county. No problems and no complaints. I only OC'd for my job while I was there, got some funny looks, some people were glad I was there, and some were nervous. Just be careful.

Is there any problem with open carry in the forest/hiking areas in the county (or any similar areas in the state)? I am from out of state and would not have a hunting/fishing license.
