I am thinking of posting the following on Craigslist under Politics.
What do you all think? If we all posted this to our local Craigslist it could generate more support. I am sure that there are other open forums where we could post something similar as well. I am also open to suggestions and edits prior to posting.

If something is an 'Unalienable Right' then why do we have to ask permission to exercise it? Currently in Texas (commonly considered a very 'gun friendly' state) in order to carry a defensive weapon (arm) you must ask for permission and before that permission is granted you must pay for a class and a permit, then you must follow a very strict set of rules on how you can 'wear' your self defense device! You MUST carry it concealed, and it must be concealed in such a manner as to not ever allow anyone to detect it! Concealing that deeply means that it will take you longer to properly arm yourself in order to defend yourself. That precious time could cost you your life! A majority of the states allow for the open carry of a side arm.[see here: http://www.opencarry.org/opencarry.html] So why does such a 'gun friendly' state such as Texas out right prohibit it? There is a petition demanding the restoration of our unalienable right to carry that is to be presented to the upcoming legislative committee. Please sign this petition to regain rights that have been taken from you! [http://www.petitiononline.com/texasoc/petition.html] For more information please visit www.opencarry.org

*Disclaimer* This petition is in no way affiliated with the Students for Concealed Carry on Campus.
oh, and maybe adding the poster image to the bottom of the post as well?

Being a 'College Town' I figured it best to put that disclaimer in there....
I am open to 'edits' if anybody has any.....
I am waiting for 'Conghers' next Ppt revision so that I can steal bullet points for a brochure that we can print out and carry with...........

Gator,

I am heading out of the country on business travel for a couple of weeks beginning today; so I may not be available until then - depending on my ability to gain net access - to update the presentation. Were you able to capture any specific statistics you think should be included?

Thanks!

No, I haven't done anything specific towards the brochure or any statistics.... If you (or anybody) has a list of the statistics then I can probably re-write them into short sweet English for presentations.... I was really hoping to take what you came up with and bastardize it!
By the way... Where abouts in 'East Texas' are you?
