What a surprise! New Hampshire's premier newspaper rates it 1st in patriotism.o_O

A further load of crap is the score assigned to Virginia for "Military Engagement Rank". It has the largest concentration of military personnel in the US. The Pentagon (and affiliated military bases) is located in Arlington, not DC, and the world's largest Navy base is located in Norfolk (surrounded by about 30 military facilities).

Whoa...seem a bit of rivalry [read as perhaps jealousy] from the peanut gallery where 14th rated VA spokesperson is sitting...whew take a breath 2a4all.

Geez Louise 2a4all, you act as if you’re from last place NJ for goodness sakes!

Surely you recognize Patriotism and nationalism & spirit isn’t just centered around bragging rights which state has the most military numbers, which by the way in 2017 out of 472K active duty members ~ VA was fourth [4] in military population, quote

The states with the most total active duty and reserve members of the military, as of September 2017, were:
  • California: 184,540
  • Texas: 164,234
  • Virginia: 115,280
  • North Carolina: 112,951 unquote

Thanks for the reference. The number for Virginia just seems a bit low to me. It does fluctuate with deployments, as some state numbers will increase with returns while others will decline with departures.

And yes, I do realize that this isn't the basis for the report in the UL. Clearly, most of the military personnel stationed here are from somewhere else, as I once was. There is a high level of support for them from the state and local communities.
