They have whole-house video survelience but not one freaking alarm anywhere? They are fools of the highest order! Hope they enjoy the home movies over and over again.

As for the burglars (not robbers) - they wasted a lot of time standing around looking and talking, as opposed to even trying to take anything. Which makes me highly suspicious of the whole incident. "Broke" in his back door, but no video showing it happening (Hey! I thought it was "whole house" survelience.) or of the damage afterwards? Burglars basically walking back and forth in just the livingroom? All happening at 5AM - when lots of working folks are either getting up or getting close to when the alarm goes off?

Sorry, but I just cabnot work up too much sympathy, and I cannot get past my sense that there is something just not right about the whole thing.

stay safe.

I have my meter up too. He said the security was to watch his kids but the article mentioned roommates.
After about 25 minutes in the home the burglars appear to be scared by something and run out through the garage door

Regardless that is scary. You have an armed 3 person crew with one pointing a gun down the hallway? How do you respond? Hope they miss and you don't (probably unamred if you just walked into the hallway and didn't hear anything)? Automated drone guns?

eta, nice of him to let the crooks know his kids are home alone too.

"The kids are starting to try to get away with stuff and they're home by themselves in the morning and afternoon after school," he said. "We wanted footage just to keep an eye on them."
