TWT: “Ms. Chase said she always carries concealed in the Virginia State Capitol but decided to carry the gun openly following an incident Monday in which the police were called on a mob of immigration activists who confronted Republican state Sen. Dick Black.
“It concerned me,” Ms. Chase told The Washington Post about the incident. “I’ve had threats. I’ve had stalkers since I’ve been in the General Assembly. I am going to continue to represent the issues that are important to my constituents, and I’m not going to be intimidated by people who would try to physically harm me.”
“I’ve had people get in my face. I’ve had people come up and try to touch me inappropriately,” she said. “And it” — the gun — “is a deterrent.”
[ ... ]
At least five of Ms. Chase’s Republican colleagues in the Senate also carry guns, but they keep them concealed, The Post reported.”

A kydex holster, why not one of those cheap hand worked leather holsters.

My issue is she is carrying a Lady Smith. Why not carry an unisex guns like a Glock.

Gun grabs of OC handguns are as rare as diamonds in a cornfield.

Nothing against a padlock on one's OC gun if that is the individuals choice. If not gun grabs of civilians OC guns is so rare it's honestly a non issue.

Even when a lawmaker has the guts to be openly pro gun and walk the walk as well, someone always just HAS to be a critic.

Nonretention holster. Very bad form.

Sorry gutshot, but I truly doubt the good legislator is going to roll on the ground or chase after someone where she might lose her sidearm.

CoL remember she is a member of VA legislative body only makes 17K-18K per annum so best she can afford ;)

Blatant sexual discrimination, on the one hand, but pro animal rights on the other. It is very hard to know where to take a stand on this. The hammerless revolver bothers me. Could this be an anti-male statement?

Maybe the message being conveyed is Ms. Chase is a man trapped in a woman's body. Or maybe, Ms. Chase is just a woman trapped in a woman's body. Just think about it, the kydex holster is made from a petroleum product. Meaning that the holster is not made from a natural plant product like hemp. Hemp is the future.

I hope this clears-up all doubt.

‘I’ve been called a ‘badass,’” she told The Post.
“It empowers women,” she added. “I jokingly call it my ERA.”

I like her - I suppose Chesterton is proud of her representation.

Absolute HERO.

I do enjoy a good Model 640, or 49, or 38, or 296, or any of the other shrouded hammer S&Ws :)

Dang, we don't need to worry about anti's taking cheap shots at us, we criticize ourselves mercilessly without them! Good Grief - what ever happened to "carry what ever you are comfortable shooting, in what ever style/form you choose - just as long as you carry! Now we are going to criticize an advocates choice of gun, choice of holster, make in appropriate comments about their sexual preferences or hidden phobias...… Get a life!
