Moved a little further South, I'm now in Germantown.

Expecting to see a few more people come over here too. A lot of people on Facebook's WCI page were talking about OC adopting, and I referred them over to this forum

hey im from oshkosh. i was hoping someone could help show me how you open carry if you wearing a jacket. don't even know where to start.thanks

Either leave the coat open in the front & tuck it behind the holster/grip toward your back, which leaves a lot of open area for snow & wind to get in the front,

or tuck it between your side & the grip. Put on your coat, fasten it, then reach down & pull the hem up from directly below the holster to put it between you & the grip. That allows having the coat closed in the front, but doesn't work well with bulky or longer jackets.

thanks for the tips. i decided to buy a new jacket that is shorter and easier to tuck behind the gun. but unfortunately i shot of the last of my.45 acp and have not been able to find anymore. only 20 so private sales only for me. going to the gun show in oshkosh today so hoping i can find some there. thanks

i open carried for the first time yesterday (nervous as heck) and found this a problem as well but i just tucked my jacket between my belt and pants behind the holster so the gun was visible

Buy a blaze orange belt long enough to fit around the outside of your coat. Your weapon will be quite visible.

Nervousness goes away. Soon you won't care what people think about you.
